^_^ Hello, Sorry for writing this when I know I should be
writing other stuffs, but really I wanted to do this more.
Not an excuse...
This story is shounen-ai, mushy, and generally the kind of
stuff i think is happening behind the scenes when Yukito
mysteriously shows up in the middle of thi night ("Sakura
why are you sneaking out of the house?"...but she never
asked him what he was doing lurking in their yard that late
at night, you know?)
Please tell me what needs fixed, thank you so much. ^_^

-------------------------------------------------------------------
These characters and the show they came from belong to CLAMP. Those
ladies worked had to make them and deserve all credit for their
creation. I only write to give my fav character a little more screen
time and a little more social life than always talking to Touya
about they guys' sister >^;^<
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Yukito woke in a quiet room with the soft sound of his best friend's
breathing close by. He smiled at the sunlight that came through the
window. It was a cozy room with pale yellow walls. It made him feel
comfortable. And alive. Somehow he never felt better than when he was
with Touya. And his cute little sister, of course.
Yukito had come over late when Touya called to say he left his books
at school in his rush to get to work. Yukito had taken his books home
but knew that since Touya was working late, he should stay up.
Besides one never knew what might be going on.
Touya was always so worried about being the polite host that he
had given Yukito his bed and made a pallet on the floor of some over
sized blankets. He knew it couldn't be comfortable; he had heard
his friend tossing in his sleep last night. But as always, when he
offered to take the floor he had gotten a stubborn look. And when he
wanted to share the bed, Touya had resisted.
He was always so proper.
He looked at the body sprawled across the floor. It was roughly
perpendicular to himself. He leaned to the left, looking at the
dark head of hair. He lay back, remembering again that Touya had not
slept well.
He watched the sun slink across the room until it was over Touya's
face. He didn't see any change in the expression from the heat or
light, so he sat up. "Can't stay in bed all day..." He mumbled as he
leaned over. "To-ya..." He leaned farther, seeing that he had not
been heard. "To-ya, We didn't get through half of our assignment..."
That didn't do it either. He almost frowned. At least as much as
someone plotting to wake the person he loved most outside his own
family could frown. There is a perversity in us all that makes us
tickle and torment the ones we love. He looked again at Touya's
sleeping posture. Mostly under the covers, but that long arm flung
over Touya's head was just waiting for Yukito to catch him, right
where the arm connects to his torso. The white shirt covered him, but
his stomach, between the rumpled shirt and his pajama pants, was wide
open. But the blanket covered enough that it would cause more trouble
to get him there.
Yukito pushed his covers down, allowing himself to turn his head
towards the end of the bed, feet against the wall. He touched the
soft tee-shirt he was wearing. It was Touya's. He had stayed the
night unexpectedly again. This family was just too understanding.
The shirt he wore was very used, until the fabric was a velvety as
down. He remembered that Touya said his old undershirts usually
ended up as pj's. This top was so large that to preserve his modesty,
Yukito had to hold the neck to his collarbone.
Yukito decided that it was definitely better to go after the stomach.
Touya had a nasty habit of moving quickly in his sleep. And his arm
could come down hard. Not that he wouldn't be sorry when he awoke,
but until then Yukito knew, from experience, that his best friend
was grumpy when first woken.
Yukito smiled again, placing the other hand on the floor as he held
the slightly large t-shirt to his chest. Putting all his weight on
the wooden slats beneath his fingers he pulled himself forward. He
turned back to look at his own awkwardness. With his hips barely on
the bed, he could fall. That would wake someone. He had better be
more careful.
Nothing else to do for it, Yukito put a knee on the sun-warmed wood.
He quietly moved one leg and then the other until he was leaning over
Touya in his attempt to extract his friend from the sheets.
He let go of the shirt to stabilize himself. Then to ensure he hadn't
woken the sleeper with his clumsiness, he put his forearm back along
his upper body and looked down the length of the bed to it's pillow.
He had hoped to see a dozing Touya, but all he saw were brown eyes
slit open enough to have been watching his maneuvers.
"To-ya..." He sighed and then smiled. "I was just going to wake you."
Touya whispered in an attempt to let the rest of the house sleep.
"You did wake me."
Yukito sat back, one leg still awkwardly on the bed, and flashed his
radiant smile. "Hungry?"
Touya sighed and got up, the cuffs of his blue and white striped
cotton pj's hanging loose around his ankles. "Come on."
They found their slippers and headed down stairs.
Yukito had been correct, no one was up yet. They looked through the
cupboards and into the 'fridge, but didn't find enough for the family
and their guest with the bottomless stomach. Touya looked up from
his position crouched before the refrigerator. He sighed, thankful
he had just gotten a new job, "Come on, we'll go out."
They tiptoed back up stairs, passing Sakura's room. There was a loud
un-Sakura-like snore coming out of the room. Touya stopped. When
Yukito turned around he signaled for his friend to go ahead of him.
He listened and reminded himself to suggest to their father that
since the snore was recent, she should go see a doctor. He didn't
like the thought of her choking in her sleep. He looked at the
puddle before her door suspiciously. Lately he was sure she had
been coming back home at odd times, but he never had any proof.
He went back to his room. But when he closed the bedroom door to
allow the two friends to change in private, Yukito came close and
whispered, "It was a great rain last night."
Touya nodded and took off his top. "I think Sakura may have been
out in it."
Yukito's face lost expression and he looked at the wall that adjoined
Sakura's room. He sighed and took of his shirt violently while Touya
was turned the other way. He wasn't doing well in getting attention
this morning, "Hopefully she won't get sick." Looking around the
room he found his clothes laid out from the day before, still
slightly wet. When he picked up his shirt Touya threw a light colored
button down that Yukito had never seen Touya wear.
Touya shrugged at the surprised look on Yukito's face. "Not my style
anyway." He seemed to consider what Yukito had said earlier.
"Probably the monster just spilled something. She does that a lot."
Yukito smiled and quickly put the shirt on over an undershirt Touya
also threw at him. Yukito tried again to get Touya's attention.
"I don't think I've ever heard of such a rain this time of year.
"He didn't think he would be able to broach the strange happenings
of the night before at this time, so resigned himself to being
treated to breakfast.
Touya nodded again as he searched through his drawers for something
to wear. Finally deciding on his favorite shirt and a pair of jeans,
Yukito waited patiently at the door.
Yukito turned the polished brass doorknob after Touya tucked in his
pants, but found a hand preventing it's opening. "Oi. Is that all?"
Yukito was suddenly confused, "What?"
Touya brushed his lips against Yukito's high cheekbone. "You thought
I'd forgotten."
The light haired youth's face turned red, "No, never."
He pressed his mouth against his friends kiss, suddenly remembering
that Touya never forgot his books before.
