UNOPEN EYE
She lies, so still with unopen eye.
I can feel her, safe, in my arms,
But she stays with unopen eye.
To let her sleep, and sleep so quiet.
Look at how still she lies,
Yet with a beauty on her face,
And yet with unopen eyes.
Such pale Pallor and golden tears
Upon such a pretty face, such a quiet face.
With my lady I want to be!
Still, and with unopen eyes.
Unopen eyes! That cannot see,
Not to see it all, not anything at all,
Not to see the ghostly dreams,
Not to see the haunted halls.
To be with her, my lady dear.
To be part with her.
Always, away from the nightmares.
To be at peace, still and lifeless,
All, with unopen eyes.
These truths are not facts,
They cannot not be so!
To have no future,
And with my lady dead, in my arms.
Still, with unopen eyes.
I am no part of this!
I am not here to see,
To see what two different futures may be!
None of this is truth! None!
I am only here with my lady love.
My lady lost-
To a man, who walks with unopen eyes.
To a man who walks with unopen heart, a cold heart-
A cold body!
I can feel her warmth- no more.
I will be with her!
With unopen eyes
Closed to the truth.
Closed to the reality.
Closed to the lies.
So I stand,
I stand, holding my lady love,
My lady lost.
I stand with unopen eye
