Ctefi --------------------------------- Romance, I remember once. I remember the gentle words and kind voice. The soft touch and lingering laugh. A special feeling that I remember once. How it use to talk so sweet It never told me wrong, it loved me too much. So close it always seemed to be in just a whisper's touch. A smile's reach. That special feeling of romance. And how I laid upon it's rising chest. The soft movements of love. It taught me my first words And gave me true knowledge. The finest of my memories. The way it would smile up at me, While I toppled through the bush, To look for it's gentle gaze. The loveliest thing I ever saw. It's gentle smile playing on my lips. And how I thought the days would never end. And I thought I knew, I was sure, so sure, That I would never have to leave. To leave romance here, somewhere else. But the times I had to leave, I would, had to, Rush back to my nodding romance. My romance that always smiled back at me. Smiled back and folded arms around me. Here, here in his grasp is my home. My sweetest romance My only love. And how I know, I'm sure That in his arms that time will wait for us. I know with childish foolishness, I know with certain love- That all is tranquil.
