Door of heaven
Part 1-Witch hunt-
Note: This is more of a fairy tale-like childish
stuff, so if you liked things complicated read
something else. And if you're not a fan of Fuu
and Ferio, this is not for you either, sorry for
the inconvenience.
Witch Hunt- this activity carried for so long in
parts of Cefiro, and it was true that there were
men and women in a special race in a special bloodline,
has the power to do magic. These people were dangerous
once they got mad or got split personality. Since Cefiro
is a place where the will was most important, often their
whole body will be drove by their worst side or they could
even form another creature by their will to create destruction.
So that's why there were hunters going around killing these
people. But there are other people killing magicians to
gain power...
"Fuu, buy some vegetables for dinner." Kuu Hououji called
to her younger sister Fuu. "Yes!" Fuu called back as she
got on her boots for the market. They were just a normal
family, their father had the biggest book shop in the whole
village, so that was why they were both well learnt. Their
mother died the day Fuu was born, so her father sees Fuu as
the rebirth of his wife at times, their relation was more
like friends than father and daughter. They lived in a
village near the forest of silence. It was peaceful there
probably because its far from the palace and people could
say what ever they wish without bothering whether they
would be put into jail for it. Fuu was a 14 year old
girl with shoulder length curly blonde hair, clear
skin and clear green eyes. She was polite to everyone,
and was smart, like her mother.
She went to the market for food for dinner when she saw
a hawker, there were hawkers everywhere, but not every
hawker sell only one thing in their cart. She stopped
and have a look. An old scroll was in there. She picked
it up. The hawker had a black cape on, said in an old and
mysterious voice "Have a look at it, it's free if it could
become part of you." Fuu asked "Free?" the hawker nodded
slowly "Free." He said quietly. She untied the ribbon
that tied the scroll together, there are strange marks
written on it, it looks strange, just as she was about
to put it down, the scroll floated up by itself and
melted into her forehead. "What is this?" she asked
as she felt that some thing was heating up inside her.
The hawker disappeared. She was stunt for a moment when
she spotted a few burly man staring at her. There were
a whole team of them. There was something strange about
them, their eyes, probably, a strange kind of light glowed
out of them. She hurried away, she hoped that they were
not the witch hunters the villagers mentioned a few days ago.
Fuu knew that they had sensed that she knew magic. Strange
enough, her none of her families were magicians that includes
her dead mother, but she happened to be one. Well, might be
one of those genetic problems, she could do nothing about it.
She went home straight from the market.
"Don't be such a paranoid!" Fuu's father laughed at her.
"You're not that imaginative, those people were merely travelers,
they didn't mean any harm here." Kuu giggled "Of course, Fuu, are
you reading horror stories, does those stories made you so
suspicious?" Her father laughed with her sister. Fuu smiled
at them and to herself, who could those people be aside from
travelers? She didn't dare telling her father about the
strange scroll she got from the weird hawker, for she was
afraid that she might scare them. They were already a
little concern about the fact that she was born with magic
when they didn't. They never actually agreed with the fact
that the reason they had no magic was due to genetic problems.
They thought that its because there were something about Fuu's
fate that made her a magician.
Fuu and Kuu were washing the dishes when they heard scream
s outside. And then a few loud knocks. Fuu ran to open the
door. The door was burst open when she went to it. She froze
as she saw the burly man she saw in day time. Her father ran
out from his study room. "Excuse me what do you want?" her
father asked blocking in front of his daughter. Kuu came out
from the kitchen as well. The burly man said roughly "We
assume that there are witches in this house, so we have to
get them to try the test of purity." Fuu gasped as she
looked behind them. The whole village was on fire. Every
house was burning and some people were burning as well.
Alive, they were being burnt alive they were screaming and
twisting from the flames, more screams joined, the man was
being beaten when the girls were being dragged to the fire.
Children were killed by a man by sticking a spear through
their hearts. Pregnant women were killed by a spear through
their womb where the baby was. Fuu backed a step, hatred was
building up inside her, but she knew that she can't use magic
there, or else her family would get hurt as well. "My daughters
knew no magic!" her father called, he was lying, he knew that Fuu
knew how to use magic. "There are no differences." The burly man
said quietly, eyeing Fuu. More man bursts into the room. Kuu and
her father was grabbed by them in an instant, but looked as if there
were something inside Fuu's body that made the man backed off
immediately. Fuu's father saw it, came up with an idea. "Fuu!
Run, they can't get near you! Go to the forest of silence!" Fuu
asked as she dodged from an attack "What about you? Father? Kuu?"
Kuu screamed "Go there and be safe then you can think of a way to
help us!" Fuu nodded, she knew, if she, too, was got by the witch
hunters, no one could then safe her family. "Pray you be alive!"
her father called after her.
Fuu ran blindly into the forest, it was true that the witch hunter
could not even get near her. She ran until she was got tripped by
a root of a tree. She sat up to catch her breath. She had an urge
to cry, and it was a safe distance from the burning village.
Something was floating up from the depth of her mind. A map,
or the scroll. The strange letters formed a map. But what is
the use of the map anyway? Where could she get to? She had no
where to go. She didn't know what to do when she heard a growl
behind her. She remembered that there were lots of monsters in
the forest of silence and no one could use magic in it. She
turned to see red eyes. Red evil eyes glowing high above her.
A mouth with saliva dripping from it. She backed away as a huge
claw was going down on her. She was defenseless in this part of
Cefiro. She knew it, she knew that she was going to die that
instance. Just then a huge sword went through the monster and
sliced it in halves. A boy, about sixteen to seventeen with
wild green hair was walking to her. She can't see his face,
she could only saw his yellowish brown eyes staring at her in
the dark, he did not look at her evilly like the witch hunters
did. He looked amaze to see her "Who are you? Why are you
walking around here in the middle of the night?". She was shocked,
her legs can't hold her up any longer, she fell. Before she crumbled
on the ground she felt that something, someone was holding her up,
half carrying her. Before she lose her conscious she saw the face
of the guy, he tied his hair behind him in a little ponytail. He
was slightly tanned with a cross scar on his cheek and one on the
bridge of his nose. He was quite good looking despite the fact
that he was only about five inches taller than her.
The green head stared down at the girl who had just fell in
his arms in the middle of a night. She was cute, he decided,
quite adorable. She had a smudge of dirt on her face and the
skirt she had on was worn, a bit of it was burn. There were
ashes on her arms
