She rubbed her eyes. She was just wondering where she was when the green head entered "Morning!" he called. She smiled at him as she remembered that he saved her last night. She got up from the bed and walked to him "Morning." She called back to him in a soft voice. He smiled at her, she looked much more healthy now in the daylight. He pointed to the little bucket of water behind her "Wash your face! I have just changed it, it's clean." She nodded as she walked across the room. The cabin was bare of any furniture, there was a little stub in the middle or the room as table and a few rugs to sit on beside it, and in another side of the cabin beside the wall was the huge sword. She washed her face, got the dirt off her face and her hands. She walked back to him. "I'm Ferio, I have been living here as a hunter. I'm sixteen" Fuu smiled at him "I'm Hououji Fuu, fourteen. I have been living in the village a little way away from the forest." Ferio asked as he invited her to the table, she sat down beside him. "Okay, I see, why are you then roaming around the forest of silence in the middle of the night then?" She swallowed as she remembered the destruction of her village and the capture of her father and sister. Ferio saw a glitter of tear in the corner of her eye, a sad expression crossed her face. Everything about her just made him melt. "The witch hunters got into our village last night. They burnt down everything, killed everyone. And captured my family." Her voice was broken slightly when she mentioned her family. He patted her on her back. She buried her face in her hands and wept for a minute. He put his arm around her as she cried. She wiped her tears away after a while, he got arm his arm back. She smiled at him "Thank-you for saving me last night." She said politely. "Have you got any plans?" he asked quietly. She shook her head "No. No plans at all. I don't what to do." He said "You can't stay here all your life, right?" She shook her head. "I have been living here for a year because I got lost." He said. "I know how to get out." She said softly. "Don't talk nonsense, no one who got lost here could get out alive." Fuu said "I know, there are monsters here, so if it's not you who rescued me, I'm dead now. But I could get you out, if you could keep me alive until we reached the opening of the forest." Ferio stared at her "You serious?" She smiled "Yes." She did look smart. "I'm not daydreaming I know what I am talking about." She assured him. "You want me to be your bodyguard then?" he asked suspiciously. She said "If you liked to put it like this. Yes then." He smiled at her "And another thing." He said. "Yes?" she asked, not sure about whether she liked that flirtatious smile on his face. "You got to be my wife." He said simply. She covered her mouth "What are you talking about?" she asked. He got that flirtatious smile off his face then, and smiled in humor "Don't look that shocked, I'm not proposing to you unless I know you better. But I'm just trying to help you." Fuu asked "Help me?" Ferio asked "You didn't know that the aim of the witch hunters' aims were just virgins?" Fuu asked "Why did they then killed the pregnant women?" Ferio said "Just because the baby in their womb were virgins. And the other woman who were killed were just because the hunters wanted to save time, they won't waste their breath asking "Are you a virgin?" before they kill you." Fuu nodded, feeling the hatred building inside her again. But still she kept on a calm face. Ferio asked "Show the way please." Fuu nodded as she got up from the rug and walked to the door. Ferio grabbed his huge sword. Just as she opened the door she found her self on a tree. Ferio handed her his sword "Hold it for me." She held it, didn't know what he was planning when his arm went around her shoulders and lifted her up under her thighs. Then jumped down from the tree. He put her down then "Which way shall we go then?" She was still a bit shocked about the fact that he could jump down that easily. She said "East." They then started walking. Fuu kept her head low, he was beside her, looking around for monsters and listening attentively for them. Fuu looked at him at times, he was cautious, he was strong and gentle to her. She was somehow attracted to him. Suddenly he held her by the hand, pulled her close to him. "What happened?" She asked frantically. He said his face close to hers she could feel in breath on her cheek "There is a monster. Stay close to me." She nodded, better listen to him, plus it was pretty comfortable to lean on his lean yet strong body. Ferio had his arm around her waist while the other one stayed on the handle of the sword. Just then something fluttered over their heads. Fuu gave a little cry as she was pushed onto the ground by Ferio. He was before her now, he was kneeling his eyes closed, listening to the noise the monster made. Immediately the monster had flown down on him. He gave a mighty swing with his sword at the monster, and caught it by the leg. But it healed immediately. "A sword couldn't harm it." Ferio said as Fuu stood up once more. Then the monster swooped down again on Fuu. Ferio immediately instinctively blocked the attack off by his body and fire ball the monster fired was shot to his shoulder. He winced slightly as he released Fuu. Fuu gasped "Are you all right?" she was really worried. "No, but never mind." He said smiling at her. She frowned as she saw the monster getting at them again. Ferio spotted a tree with no leaves on it and the branches were pointed. He smiled as he leaped on to one of the branches. The monster followed him, the pointed branches went through it and was pinned the monster to the tree. Ferio then jumped to the other tree. Just as they thought the monster was dead, a fire ball got fired at her. Ferio screamed at her as she was standing there stuck on the ground. "Don't just stand there! Idiot!" She could not move. He jumped down from the tree and knocked her on the ground as the monster closed his eyes. When she opened her eyes he was on top of her, she was holding his arm. "Is he dead?" she asked him. He nodded uncertainly. He got up, then helped her to sit up. "Are you feeling all right?" Ferio asked her. She nodded smiled at him "Thank you Ferio, for saving me again." Ferio smiled "You looked lovely when you smile. Better than awhile ago when you wanted to use me as your bodyguard." Fuu blushed. He did keep his promise of protecting even her when he was injured, she was grateful to him but some other feeling, feeling other than grateful was building up in her. She stood up with his help, he winced slightly. She stopped him from walking. "You're hurt." She whispered softly to him. "Sit down" she instructed. "You cannot use magic in this place." He said to her. But she was so pretty and showed that she worried about him that he did sat down on the grass. She sat down before him, took his vest off. She bit her lip as she saw the blood coming out of it. Then she took his shirt off as well, he blushed as she put her mouth to his wound and sucked the blood out of the wound then spitted it out to the grass. Her lips was cool and was bringing comfort to his wound, her tongue licked around his wound as her lips were caressing the skin around it, he felt that her hair was tickling his bare chest as he closed his eyes to enjoy the comfort her lips could give his shoulder. When she backed off from his wound he felt that something left him. Then she brought her handkerchief out of her pocket and wrapped it around his wound tightly to stop the blood. He pulled his clothes back on right away as she turned away to spit more blood out of her mouth. She turned back "Do I look like a vampire now?" He watched her, he was sure that she did swallow some of his blood. He smiled "No, You still looked sweet." She blushed. He wiped the last drop of blood from her lips. "You looked human now." She smiled as she closed her eyes. She memorized the map again she pointed to the path in front of them. "We can get out there straight by following that path." He smiled as he got up from the grass. "You saved me this time." Fuu smiled back "That is because you rescued me."
