Archive : The ML Archive is okay. For the others, tell
me please.
The characters mentionned in this text belong
to Clamp. The story takes place when
Taishaku-ten celebrate his 300 years of reign, wich is
also the aniversary of Tentai's death.
I have found interesting to study the relationship
between Kujaku and his sister, although
the latter has never known about him.
The Dark Angel's Lament
A Rg Veda fanfiction
By Karura
Little sister, today is the aniversary of our
father's death. The Heaven emperor
Tentai... No one dare to talk about what happened 300
years ago : Taishaku-ten's seizing
power, the destruction of the Ashura-Ou family... And
our father's death.
I guess you must also think about that day when your
life felt over, beautiful
little sister, shut up in your palace of silence and
sadness. You must evocate the
happy memories of the days with him...
I confess I'm doing the same, even if my memories are
not that happy. When Father
visited us, Mother and I, his face was always sad. I
never saw him smile... He always smiled
to you. I have often watched you. With stunned child's
eyes, I rediscover the man who
fathered me. I confess I envied you during a long
time. You had always had everything.
I had envied you... until I knew your fate...
When Mother died, she nearly took me with her. I wish
sometimes she did that. She
was prophetess, you know. I have inherited her powers.
You have inherited a few of our blood too : I have
been told about your Star Mirror
wich you can foretell the future with. It is strange ;
perhaps do you envy those who can
see completly the future, and not fragments like you ?
If you ever meet me, will you envy
me as I have envied you ?
But no, little sister, you mustn't envy me. Prophets
are not happy people. Look,
I knew that father would die, but I did nothing,
because the stars's path is something
precarious. If we tried to change even a little part
of destiny, the world would be
irremediably destroyed. Look, little sister, in spite
of my wings I am chained up.
Kuyo was chained up to. She knew that her love for
Ashura-Ou had no place in the
web of destiny. So she served him the best she could
and she ended up die... Mother must
have known her fate too.
So be happy to have only a limited vision of the
future. Maybe you look for
deliverance in the future ? Maybe you curse your lot
of simple garantee ? You believe
Taishaku-ten have spared you only no to provocate
people's hostility ? No, the reason is
elsewhere, in this past who never stops to haunt me,
like visions of the future...
You fate is to be loved, little sister. Honnestly,
it's not the best of fates. It's
not the worst either...
As you must have seen too, the days of Taishaku-ten's
reign are numbered. Even you,
with your weak power, you must have sensed it. And I
know you are involved with Yasha-Ou
an prince Ashura... Do you know I have met them too ?
Do you know Yama-To is my doing
in order to change this so cruel future ? When I first
saw both them, I pitied them with
all my heart... They were so unconscious about the
tragic destiny that waits for them.
And Ashura was so cute... But, while I was looking at
him, I saw him as a destructor god,
turning the Heaven World into nothing. But what can I
do more without provocating a
disaster ? They know the prophecy, even if they will
discover its true meaning only
later... When all is almost done... And me, I must be
silent.
Well, little sister, here are the words I will never
tell to you because our
fate is not to meet each other. If things were
differents... But the destiny's heel never
cease to turn.
May you find your hapiness in another life, little
sister, as I hope to find mine
someday.
End.
C&C are welcome !
