Hi there. This here is part 12. Only about a month of school left and off
to France I go! Email me if there's any comments, suggestions, flames, etc.
(Note to readers: If you didn't notice, Susan and Hiyana have aged in the
RG Veda world. They aren't so young anymore... An explanation is at the
bottom.
Hm, this chapter might seem a bit rushed, but how should I know? Tell me.
If you noticed, I used a song for a title of the chapter, like Peridot did
to her stories. I ran out of ideas at the moment for a title, so it's as
is. Um, I'm trying to write down two things happening almost at once so...
enjoy!

Chapter 12: Objects in the Rear View Mirror, They Appear Closer Than They Seem
The air in Zenmijou was strangely exquisite. Susan stood her ground
as Taishakuten approached her. His eyes were silver like the moon and the
stars, his long silver (blond?) hair framed his delicate face. The Mark of
Daten on his forehead had a golden eye color, like Ashura-ou's eyes. Tai
stopped a couple of feet from her and watched with alert eyes.
"What kind of a proposal?", he asked.
"A deal.", she answered.
"Go on.", he said.
Hiyana stood in the darkness of the night, listening, waiting.
There was a light ruffle behind her as she turned around.
"Hey.", said Kujaku.
"K-Kujaku...", Hiyana whispered.
"You must be Hiyana, am I right?", he asked.
Hiyana nodded slowly, her eyes glued to Kujaku.
"Huh? Where's your other friend?", he asked.
"...She... she's out...", Hiyana said dreamily.
Then she returned to reality, her senses alert. She cleared her
throat, a bit embarrassed.
"I didn't think the Golden Warriors would be so cute.", said Kujaku.
Hiyana blushed deeply.
"Uh, thanks... I think you're cute too--I mean! Uh, um, ah...",
Hiyana tried to find a way out of the trap she put herself in.
Kujaku smiled, his eyes narrowing.
"A-Are you really the previous Tentei and his sister's son?", Hiyana
asked, curious.
Kujaku's eyes widened.
"How... how did you know that?", he asked.
"Oh if it bothers you then you don't have to answer... I just
recalled Susan saying that a while back...", Hiyana answered.
"Is she a hoshimi?", he asked.
"Hoshimi? What's that?", Hiyana asked, sitting down on the grass.
Kujaku sat down too, interested.
"Hm, a Stargazer, one who foretells the future.", Kujaku explained.
"Oh, no... she can't tell the future...", said Hiyana.
"Tell me, how does she know so much about Tenkai?", Kujaku asked.
"I can't tell you that, Kujaku... You're not supposed to know.",
said Hiyana, turning away.
"If I get what I want.", said Taishakuten.
Susan cursed silently. Taishakuten was being stubborn.
"Hm, this scene sounds familiar to me...", Susan told Taishakuten.
Taishakuten waited for her answer.
"If I give you what you want, you will promise me what I want.",
said Susan.
"I promise then.", said Taishakuten.
"Good, I've never known you to lie or break a promise.", said Susan.
"What about you?", he asked.
"Hm, I suppose I could give you what you want.", said Susan.
"Just remember, a deal's a deal.", he said.
"Of course, I remember.", she said.
"Good.", he said.
Hiyana walked by Yasha-ou, getting an idea. She sat down close by,
watching him.
"What is it?", Yasha-ou asked, not looking.
"Um, nothing.", said Hiyana, thinking of a way to approach the
situation.
"Has Susan returned yet?", he asked.
"...no, I haven't seen her yet... wasn't she with you?", Hiyana asked.
"...She left.", he answered.
"...Do you... um, like her?", Hiyana asked.
Yasha-ou paused, not knowing what to say.
"She really likes you, you know... she just doesn't show it
sometimes.", said Hiyana.
Yasha-ou hesitated now.
"That's... our business.", he replied.
"Oh, really? Then I guess this wouldn't interest you...", said
Hiyana as she stood up to leave.
Yasha-ou looked up, interested.
"Wait.", he said.
Hiyana stopped and turned, smiling.
Susan stood, sighing.
"Well, I guess I'd better get going.", she said.
"Our deal...", said Taishakuten.
Susan approached Taishakuten, then she stroked his silky hair and
ran a hand through it.
"Of course...", Susan assured him in a whispery voice.
Then she turned and left, disappearing into the darkness of the night.
Leaping silently from rooftop to rooftop, Susan made her way back.
Before she entered the house, however, she spotted a movement in the
darkness. Susan pretended not to notice as she stopped moving. Slowly, she
took hold of a small dagger she had gotten a hold of earlier. Swiftly, she
hurled the dagger at the intruder. It missed and buried it's tip into a
tree. Susan turned quickly, ready for anything. Yasha-ou stepped out of
the darkness. Susan let down her guard, straightening herself.
"I almost killed you!", she scolded.
"Are you always that dangerous?", he asked.
"Do you always sneak up on people?", she snapped.
They paused. Susan let out a sigh.
"Look, just don't sneak up on me like that.", said Susan as she turned.
"Where have you been?", he asked.
Susan stopped, she had to find an excuse.
"Um, I was just watching the parameters...", she lied.
"You lie.", he said.
Susan turned to him.
"Where do you think I was then?", she asked.
"You tell me.", he countered.
Susan stood, facing Yasha-ou, so still was the night.
"...I don't know why you're wasting your time on me.", she said coldly.
"I was worried.", he said.
Susan was caught off guard.
"...You... You were..?", she stammered.
Yasha-ou nodded. Susan's face grew quite hot, she was glad it was
dark outside.
"Um, uh... I didn't know...", said Susan, really embarrassed.
"Is there something wrong?", he asked.
"No, nothing... It's just... um, I've never seen you confess
feelings to someone before...", Susan answered a bit shakily.
Yasha-ou's eyes softened. Susan blushed even more, turning away.
"Um, it's nice to hear... um, that you care for me... even if it's
just a little bit...", Susan said hesitantly.
"I do.", Yasha-ou advanced.
"Um, I have to go.", said Susan as she opened the door and slipped
into the house.
Yasha-ou sighed. Hiyana appeared.
"I didn't do very well, did I?", he asked.
Hiyana shook her head.
"You must be aggressive! You have to advance on her! You have to
be more... um, more... more... romantic.", Hiyana advised.
"Hm, she didn't look very comfortable...", said Yasha-ou.
"She's just shy! You have to show her that you CARE!", Hiyana said,
her fist shaking.
"Maybe she's just not interested... I'm not doing this anymore.",
said Yasha-ou, giving up.
"DO IT! Try it again, right now!", Hiyana threatened to shout.
Yasha-ou had a harrassed look on his face as Hiyana pushed him to
the door.
Susan stood, her back to the door. 'What is happening?!' she asked
herself. Her hand was shaking a bit from her embarrassment. She took a
deap breath. She wondered where Hiyana was. She could hear everyone in the
other side of the room, but she could only hear Ryu-ou yelling at Ashura and
Karura-ou trying to quiet them down. Kujaku could be heard laughing. She
smiled, if only the anime had been this happy. There was a knock behind her
as she stood up from the door. Wondering who it was, she opened it.
Hiyana was knocking on the door, and pushing Yasha-ou.
"Why is she so stubborn! She knows she has a crush on you!", Hiyana
whispered.
"What if she--", said Yasha-ou as the door opened and Hiyana pushed
him inside.
"What the--!", Susan was cut off as Yasha-ou burst into the room,
knocking her to the ground.
"Whoops!", Hiyana whispered as she closed the door and ran off.
Susan opened her eyes to find Yasha-ou over her.
"Just-what-do-you-think-you're-doing?!", Susan asked menacingly.
Yasha-ou felt really embarrassed now as he scrambled off of her,
random brushes of her here and there.
"I, um, I apologize...", he said.
"What is it?", she asked.
"Um...", Yasha-ou was tongue-tied.
Hiyana looked through a window, and saw that Yasha-ou was being shot
down. She sighed.
Yasha-ou spotted Hiyana through the window and inched towards it.
Susan eyed him suspiciously. When he reached the window, he swallowed.
"Compliment her appearance!", Hiyana whispered, hinting him.
"You... um, look very... um, pretty tonight.", he stammered.
"What?", Susan asked, confused.
Hiyana sighed, this was going to take some time.
Susan went over to Yasha-ou. He braced himself against the window,
as if he was afraid she'd do something.
"Are you feeling okay?", she asked, putting a hand on his forehead.
Hiyana saw what was happening and smiled.
"Kiss her, you fool!", she whispered.
Hiyana reached up a hand and pushed Yasha-ou forward.
As Susan reached up a hand to feel his forehead, Yasha-ou lurched
forward suddenly and her hand smacked his head. She pulled her hand away
quickly as Yasha-ou winced, his hand covering his head.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!", Susan apologized.
"No, no, it's all right...", he said, his hand still on his head.
Hiyana tried to stop herself from laughing out loud.
Susan sat Yasha-ou down and tried to remove his hand from his head.
He wouldn't budge.
"Just let me look at it.", said Susan.
"No, it's all right.", he said.
"Then let me look at it.", she snapped.
Yasha-ou couldn't bear to let her look at him, he'd have to look at
her too. He didn't know what to do.
"It's okay, I won't bite you. I just want to see if you're okay
like you said you were.", said Susan as she gently unwrapped his hands from
his head.
He felt her small and soft hands on his hand and gradually did as
she asked. God, his heart was beating like hell... Susan looked at the red
mark from her hand and gently blew over the 'injury'.
"You're not acting like yourself... is there something wrong?",
Susan asked.
"...Nothing, nothing's wrong...", he lied.
Susan stopped and stared at him, half in disbelief and half in belief.
"Kiss her, stupid!", Hiyana whispered.
Yasha-ou hesitated to do just that, he wasn't sure he should. Susan
stood up.
"The window--", Susan stopped as Yasha-ou pulled her down.
Before she could find out that Hiyana had this planned from the
window, Yasha-ou had grabbed her. Forcing her to sit, he drew her close and
kissed her. Susan's face was flaming as Yasha-ou kissed her. She couldn't
believe he did that. Her eyes were open wide as Yasha-ou closed his. She
almost fainted. When Yasha-ou broke the kiss, Susan's palm found his cheek
as she struck him in a casual slap. The sound was like a crack of thunder,
echoing withing the room. Time seemed to freeze as they stood face to face,
Yasha-ou staring at her and Susan staring back.
"I-I'm sorry!", he said quickly, not moving.
Susan's fingers went to her lips, she couldn't believe what just
happened. Her favorite male character from RG Veda had just kissed her...
an anime guy, just KISSED her! It was better than any real kiss, she thought.
"What... what's wrong with you..?", Susan asked, trying to recover
from the incident.
Yasha-ou didn't answer, he just stared at her, wondering if he
should leave or not. Susan stared back with her mysteriously dark eyes.
She wondered if the kiss had meant anything to him... or to her.
Cautiously, Susan sat back down, her eyes on Yasha-ou. Yasha-ou looked away.
"I just want you to know... that I care for you deeply...", he said,
almost in a whisper.
Susan's head was beginning to swim. Then Yasha-ou turned to look
into her eyes.
"Susan, I... I love you...", he confessed.
Susan gasped, all the world around her crashed down as the words
reached her head. She couldn't believe it, she was dreaming! And yet, she
and Yasha-ou was here now, and he had just told her that he loved her...
_loved_ her... Susan stared back, speechless.
"Oh Yasha-ou...", she whispered.
"Could you... love me?", Yasha-ou asked.
Hiyana was just bursting with joy and happiness! She leaped away
and into the other room where the others were.
After a long silence, Susan swallowed.
"I... I don't know...", she almost gasped.
TO BE CONTINUED........
Next time: Will Kuyou's prophecy about Susan EVER be revealed?! What was
Susan and Taishakuten's deal? Does Susan really have the same feelings
about Yasha-ou? Will the six stars triumph over evil? What is the REAL
purpose of the Golden Warriors? Will they ever find their way back, or do
they wish to stay in Tenkai forever? Can there be a traitor in the group,
is it Susan? Will this story ever finish? (Yes, of course!)
Oo, I would love to have a cute anime guy like Yasha-ou kiss me!
Okay, I'm going to do something a little different. Some of you out there
have asked for a lemon side of the story and I will try to write one. If
you don't wish to read the lemon version, don't fear! I will also write a
non-lemon version too! So the next chapter will have 2 versions, a lemon
and a non-lemon. I'm not responsible for those that are under aged and I
will put up warning signs. Thank you and have a nice day! ^_^;;;;;;
happy, happy, joy, joy....

EXPLANATION: Right now, the two characters are about in their mid-twenties.
Reason for this is that even though they are in another dimension, they will
still age (Hey, they've been imprisoned/enslaved for 300 years!). Like the
Gods, they eventually grow older, just at a slower rate... hm, that might've
been a SPOILER... Well, they don't seem to notice it, but they will, eventually.
