Ok folks. Here's part 15 of my fanfic. Hopefully, I can finish this fanfic
before I leave for France, but I seriously doubt it. So, I'll write as much
as time allows and see how much I have left to do. Enjoy.

Chapter 15: Red Eyes
Taishakuten grinned coldly. The feathers scattered as the wind blew
them into the air. Zouchouten stood, his hand clenched in a fist. Hiyana
glared back at Taishakuten, reining her anger in. Susan leaped down to
where Yasha-ou stood.
"Susan, you take the others and leave...", said Yasha-ou.
"Our deal...", Taishakuten broke in.
Yasha-ou looked at Susan, puzzled. Then there was a laugh, ringing
throughout the destroyed hallway.
"Hahahahaha! So this is where you've all been hiding...", said a voice.
"Ashura!", Susan said, turning around.
"Ashura?!", Yasha-ou repeated.
Hiyana's eyes widened. Ryu-ou followed her gaze. Sohma and
Kendappa-ou stopped fighting and turned their attention to the voice also.
"This'll be fun...", Ashura whispered.
Then something snapped inside Susan's mind. It was like remembering
a dream after you forgot it. The feeling was strong, so strong she fell to
her knees. Susan heard a voice calling her... yet it wasn't a voice.
Something... something was terribly wrong. Sweat pricked her brow and pain
shot out throughout her. She let out a moan.
"Susan!", said Yasha-ou, kneeling to see if she was alright.
Memories... deeply buried memories began to fill her mind.
Suddenly, Susan found herself standing in white space. The great hall gone,
Taishakuten and the others, gone. Just her. Everything was still, no
movement, no life...just white space. Then a figure appeared. Her self image.
"Susan... Time for you to realize the true extent of your powers.
You and I... we are one.", said her mirror image.
Instead of fighting, Susan's eyes drifted close as her image
descended upon her, merging and becoming one with her...
Ashura leaped down, Shurato pointed at it's target. Yasha-ou shook
Susan.
"Susan! Snap out of it!", he yelled.
Ashura was closing in on them, faster and closer he came. In her
leaning position, Susan's eyes opened slowly, a shimmer of red slowly
overtaking the dark brown hue. Yasha-ou was getting worried. As Ashura
closed the space between his two targets, something blew him back. Ashura
hit the wall nearby, crumbling it. Yasha-ou gasped.
"Ashura!!", he shouted.
When Yasha-ou looked down at Susan, she was trembling. The feeling
was monstrous, overtaking, and conquering. She trembled fiercely, unable to
control the shaking. Yasha-ou kneeled to take her hand. To Yasha-ou's
surprise, Susan retaliated and growled. Her battle aura flickered like fire.
"Susan...what--?", he asked, uncertain.
Susan slowly stood up, still trembling, and shakily trying to keep
her balance. She began to notice everything, and everyone. Her senses
became keen and her reflexes heightened. Yasha-ou reached for her again,
this time, a light saber appeared and Susan retaliated by trying to slash it
at him. Yasha-ou jumped away, confused. Hiyana looked at Ryu-ou.
"Stay the hell away from me...", Susan warned in a low voice.
"...That's not Susan...", Hiyana noticed.
"What?", Ryu-ou asked.
Ashura arose. He smiled.
"Mmm...A challenge. I like that.", said Ashura.
"Susan...", Yasha-ou whispered.
Ashura lunged for Susan, fireballs encircling him as he flung them
at her. The fireballs slammed into Susan, and she dropped to her knees.
The explosion sent the floor shaking and smoke filled the spot where the
attack had happened.
"Susan!", Hiyana yelled.
The dust and smoke cleared with a blast of air. In the midst of it,
Susan arose, her hair free of the ponytail. Amazingly, she was uninjured.
Yasha-ou and the others gasped. A smile played upon Taishakuten's lips.
Ashura was unimpressed as he attacked again. This time taking out Shurato.
Susan locked eyes with Ashura's as Ashura swung Shurato at her. A mental
blast of ki stopped Ashura and froze him in mid-air. Ashura growled.
"Susan...", Ryu-ou called.
"Susan! What's wrong?!", Hiyana yelled.
Hiyana ran to Susan. With a flicker, Susan turned to Hiyana, her
red eyes blazing like the color of rubies and fire. Hiyana skidded to a
stop, hesitating.
"...S-Susan...", said Hiyana, uneasily.
Without a word, Susan let go of Ashura and vanished. Hiyana looked
around, confused. Then she turned around.
"Susan!", Hiyana cried as Susan grabbed Hiyana by the shirt's collar.
Susan lifted Hiyana off the ground with her right hand, her red eyes
piercing. The expression on her face was different. Hiyana couldn't figure
out what was wrong.
"Susan! Snap out of it!", Hiyana yelled, starting to panic.
"You're still on that?", Susan asked quietly.
Susan wound her left hand back a little as a golden light bursted to
life around it. To Hiyana's surprise, Susan energized her fist and struck
it at Hiyana's abdomen, sending her across the hall and into the rubble
where she hit the ground. Hiyana moaned as she lost consciousness.
Yasha-ou stepped forward, worried and confused, but angry also. Completely
alert, Susan whirled to face him and lifted her hand. Golden
electricity-like energy flickered around her hand and she threw it at
Yasha-ou. Yasha-ou cursed and jumped out of the way. The projectile
slammed into the wall behind Yasha-ou, leaving not much but a giant hole.
Susan, expressionless, turned to Ashura.
"Susan!", Yasha-ou called.
"It's not her anymore.", said Kujaku as he appeared from the shadows.
"Kujaku!", said Yasha-ou, turning around.
"Her esper side has control of her. They're two different aspects
of the same being.", Kujaku explained.
"Esper?", Yasha-ou asked.
Susan was annoyed. She turned to Yasha-ou again. Golden
reflections flashed across her red eyes as her golden light saber appeared
through her hand. Yasha-ou paused. How was he going to keep her from
killing them all without killing her?
"Kujaku...how do I stop her?", he asked.
"You can't. The esper side of her was a curse descended from her
ancestors. You'll eventually have to kill her...If you want to live.", said
Kujaku.
"...Isn't there another way?!", Yasha-ou asked, losing his patience.
"Don't ask me...", said Kujaku.
Susan rushed at Yasha-ou and swung her light saber. Yasha-ou
blocked it with Yamato. She was definetly strong, he hadn't expected it.
He stared right into her red eyes, seeing his own reflection in them. Susan
narrowed her eyes and jumped away, her light saber vanishing.
"You know, she's testing your strength...", said Kujaku.
Ashura appeared behind Susan and blasted a ball of fire at her, but
Susan's form became a golden light just before the fire touched her and she
vanished in a teleportation. Ashura stopped and listened. Susan appeared
behind Ashura silently, watching and waiting. Ashura turned around,
throwing another blast of fire at her. Susan leaped into the air and her
light saber appeared. Yasha-ou gasped as Susan came down with her light
saber onto Ashura. "Ashura!!", he shouted.
Susan was surprised as Yasha-ou blocked her finishing move with
Yamato. Ashura, taking advantage of the situation, leaped out of the way
and onto a rising block of the floor. She threw multiple shots of fireballs
at Yasha-ou and Susan. Yasha-ou ignored Susan and built a kekkai. Finding
her chance, Susan footsweeped Yasha-ou, knocking him to the ground. Ashura
leaped at Susan again, growling. Susan turned and shot energy projectiles
at Ashura, giving them some time. Ashura blocked and leaped away. Yasha-ou
got up, sword at ready. Ryu-ou and Kujaku ran over to where Hiyana lay
unconscious and tried to wake her. Kendappa-ou turned to Sohma.
"Karura-ou was a kind person, but she had a strong spirit...Once you
decided to kill Taishakuten, you couldn't stop from trying to achieve
this... That's why I let you go, though I didn't want to lose you...it was
what you had chosen.", said Kendappa-ou.
Sohma just listened, caught off guard. A tear ran down
Kendappa-ou's face.
"Kendappa-ou...", Sohma whispered.
"Sohma...I serve Taishakuten because he is strong...", said
Kendappa-ou.
Kujaku and Ryu-ou couldn't wake Hiyana, she was out cold.
Taishakuten just stood by and watched the events take place.
"She's going to be out for quite a while...", Ryu-ou said, worried.
"Don't worry, see what you can do.", said Kujaku.
Susan turned to Yasha-ou, her red eyes shimmering a golden light
every so often.
"Susan, what is wrong? Tell me, I'll help you!", Yasha-ou said.
She just stared back, her gaze as cold as ice.
"I have a promise to keep...", she finally said, slightly turning,
"And you have a promise to keep also."
"Susan...", Yasha-ou said softly.
Susan turned to him fiercely and shot energy projectiles at him. He
blocked them off with his kekkai and Yamato. She watched him, his every
move, like a predator hunting her prey. Susan disappeared right before
Yasha-ou's eyes and appeared a distance behind him. He hardly had time to
turn as she shot another round of projectiles. Yasha-ou closed his eyes as
he failed to block the assault.
"YASHA-OU!!!", Ryu-ou shouted.

Ok, this is part 15, and some of you are wondering where the lemon of part
13 is. Well, I should have it out THIS WEEK. As for Romancing the Swords,
I'll have to finish that at another time (gomen!), so other than that, on to
part 16.
Comments, questions, and flames, etc are welcome.
Have a nice day!
