Aerial view of Zenmi-jou, glistening under a blue sky and sunlight.
Voiceover: Zenmi-jou, a building of light and magic that
rests in the heart of Tenkai. The home of rulers of Tenkai, men
who are responsible for the fate of our world and our lives.
But do you know what dark secrets it's silver walls conceal?
Tonight, Hard Copy take you within the walls of Zenmi-jou, on
a shocking expose of the irresponsibilities and abuses committed
within.
Join Kujaku, our investigator who went undercover to Zenmi-jou.
Here is what our hidden camera captured.
[camera switches to interior,
picture of the corpse laying on the gate to Ashura-jou,
widens to include the rest of the hall.]
[recap: Ashura-ou just noticed that Kujaku's camera is still running,
and lunged at Kujaku. Kujaku took cover behind the most dense
object around(pun intended), which is Yasha-ou, who had to
drop Ashura. Taishakuten, who had been salivating over Ashura,
jumped at the chance. Enters Ten-ou, who is understandably
shocked at discovering a dead body in middle of the hall]
Ten-ou: Ah.. excuse me! < then jumps the other way as Taishakuten
runs him over in an attempt to get to Ashura.> Father!
Kujaku:
Taishakuten, take your hands off Ashura!
Ashura-ou: Ha! I'm not going to fall for that.
Tai:
You're heavier than you look.
Yasha: What do you think you're doing?
Tai:
Ahh! Yasha!
Yasha: PUT ME DOWN!
Tai: Ahm.. Sorry.
What happened to...
There he is!
The scene denegerate into a Warner Brothers style chase, with Ashura-ou
after Kujaku, Ashura being dragged behind, Taishakuten after Ashura,
Yasha after Tai, and a very confused Ten-ou standing forlornly in the
center.
Yakko: Did someone say Warner Brothers?
Dot: Helllloooooo, cute men with long hair!
Wakko: Look, they're not wearing any pants.
Ten-ou: What do you mean? I'm wearing pants!
Yakko: Now you're not.
Ten-ou: Yes I am. Look.
Dot: Shame on you. And in front of a little girl too.
Yakko:
Ashura-ou is closing in on Kujaku, is he going to overtake
him? NO! Kujaku put on a burst of speed, and remains in
the lead. But Ashura-ou is still going strong.
Wakko: Go Yasha Go!
Dot: Popcorn? Hotdog? Monster?
Ten-ou: Monster?
AHHHHHHH!
Ten-ou: Ashura-ou, please, I'm sure we can settle this through legal
channels.
Ten-ou: Father, the court has the gallow all set up, they're just waiting
for you to be there for the execution.
Ten-ou: Ashura, oh, sorry.
Yakko, Wakko, and dot looks at each other.
Yakko: Ah, he just doesn't get it.
Dot: We have to help him, he's our special friend.
Wakko: Here, takes this.
Ten-ou:
Yakko: It's a whistle. You blow on it.
Ten-ou: Oh, Thanks.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!
Ashura: Oh, Yasha!
Yasha: Ashura, you're all right?
Ashura:
Yasha: Excuse ME!
Kujaku:
Here, take the the damned tape, and take my life while you're at it.
It's worth anything to me anyways.
Ashura-ou:
What are you trying to do?
Kujaku: I just hand over to you my only prospect
of a better life, and you suspect me.
Well, it has always been my lot to be misunderstood.
I sacrifice myself for others, and that's what I get for it.
Well, you have your tape now, and I'll remove my
undesirable presence from here.
Ashura-ou: Where do you think you're going?
You don't get out of this so easily.
Kujaku:
I'm going to throw myself from the tower.
Ashura: No, Kujaku. Don't.
Ashura-ou: If case you forgot, he has wings.
In any case, Kujaku, you're not going anywhere until you explain what
this is all about.
Kujaku: No no, I don't want to make you all feel guilty.
Ashura-ou: Don't worry, we won't be.
Ashura: Oh father, how could you be so heartless.
Please go on, Kujaku.
Kujaku: At least someone loves me. Well, as you know, after the last war,
Taishakuten outlawed prophecy. So there I was, out of a job.
I can't even apply for unemployment. Because of my purple eyes,
the people at the unemployment office all claim I'm not a citizen
of Tenkai, and therefor not eligable for benefits. I couldn't
even get foodstamps.
Ashura:
Poor Kujaku. You could have come to us.
Ashura-ou: He could have become an actor.
Kujaku: Your honorable father might have had something to say about that.
Well, anyways, as I was saying. Finally, after surviving for
month on nothing but scraps, I finally landed a job with
Hard Copy. They forced me to use my connections to get an
interview with you, or they threatened to run an expose on me,
and blacken my charater so no one will ever want to hire me.
But no, my loyalty to you is more important.
I'm perfectly willing to sacrifice myself to preserve your good
name. No no, don't thank me.
I'm going now, and don't bother
to look for me. I am not going to stay in this world.
Ashura: NOOOOOO, Kujaku.
Father, say something, make him stay.
Ashura-ou:
Humm, yes Kujaku, do stay with with us for a while.
Maybe we can find
you a job as a gargoyle or a weatherwane.
Kujaku: AHH! That is, ahh,
I'm sure I'll make a great weatherwane.
I'm really really
hungry.
Please, I haven't eaten for days.
Ashura: Oh, Kujaku, you poor thing. Come on, we'll find you something to
eat.
Ten-ou: Wait, everyone, don't go yet. What are we going to do with this
body here?
Tai: Hmm, what? Oh, that. Well, it's not my business. I had nothing
to do with it.
Ashura-ou:
Well, I'm actually beginning to like the look. Sort of a
surreal effect, and it fits perfectly into the color scheme.
Ashura: Oh, well, I can always use a snack, and I suppose it's a shame to
waste all that fresh blood.
Ten-ou: Can't you think of something
beside yourselves? Someone is dead, murdered and what not, and
you don't even want to find out how or why?
Together: What do you mean?
Ten-ou: Forget it. I'll just take care of it
myself.
Ashura: Gigei! No!
--------------------------------------------------
Is the living-impaired Gigei going to become the centerpiece of Ashura-ou's
new decorating scheme?
Is Ten-ou ever going to install any sense of right and wrong in his
morally-challenged parent and relatives?
Is Taishakuten ever going to be able to do more than drool at Ashura?
Is Kujaku going to find permanent employment as a wall fixture in Zenmi-jou,
or has he other devilish plans to discredit its inhabitants?
Find out next time, as the shocking expose continues, on Hard Copy.
*SIGH* Man, whatta a vacation. I went all the way to China for a while,
and I just got back a couple of days ago. So how was everybody? Okay, I
hope. Well here's the latest installment of my fanfic. Enjoy.
