Shinri: Before anything else...Yume's really getting good. Keep it comin'.
And Shape of the Heart's really getting to me. Keep it comin' too. Now on
to the ficcie.
Sleeping Fuumie
by Shinri Ayase and Axrynn Ayase
"Stop! Halt! Yamete!" the silky voice boomed. Everyone turned to the
doorway.
A woman with long black hair and an almost complete lack of clothing
stood there, face contorted with rage. Yuuto gasped. "It's Kanoe, the Ho
Queen! Hi, babe!" Kanoe winked at him before regarding the temple couple
with an angry expression.
"How dare you not invite me to this party!" she yelled. The couple
looked at each other, and then looked at their parents. "But we did," they
said in unison. "I didn't get an invitation!" Kanoe insisted.
Seiichirou stepped forward sheepishly. "Errr...I got lost trying to
find your house, ma'am." He held out a black piece of cardboard with gold
designs. "Here's your invitation."
The Ho Queen refused. "I'm much too angry to accept it now," she
declared. "And now I will exact my revenge on that child," she pointed
toward the crib of the baby.
"Nooooo!" Saya screamed. "Don't hurt him! I've just bragged to Tooru
that I had a son before she did!" Kanoe ignored her and went over to Fuuma,
picking him up and crushing his tiny face against her (obviously fake)
breasts. "On his seventeenth birthday, he will be stabbed by a shinken and
die!"
There was silence for five whole seconds. Seishirou cleared his throat.
"Doesn't everyone die when stabbed by a sword of some sort?" The woman
frowned and stuck her tongue out at him. "This curse _ensures_ that he gets
stabbed at all!" Everyone begins to scream with horror as Kanoe smiles with
sadistic satisfaction and cuddles the baby. She put him down and
disappeared into the murky shadows.
"My baby!" Saya wailed. Kyougo was in shock before finally muttering,
"And a shinken is right inside this temple!" All guests began to panic.
All but the fairies who aren't really fairies but shall be called so for
the purposes of this damned fic. Well, at least two of them. "Oh, well,"
Yuuto shrugged. "Que sera, sera." Seishirou nodded. "He'll have a short
life. Good thing we ensured that he's going to get laid before the age of
seventeen, ne?"
"Yep, he'll experience the finer things in life."
Kusanagi quickly ran to Saya, who was now holding the child. He held
the leaves that would bear his gift to the child. "Wait! I haven't given
him a gift yet!" He was panicking, but he had to do something.
He blurted out the damn stupidest thing in his life.
"The boy will not die, he will just...have his head lopped off!
And...and...fall into a deep slumber!" Seishirou and Yuuto slapped their
faces. "Oi, have his head lopped off and fall into a deep slumber? Y'know,
when someone's head gets lopped off..."
The child's mother began to cry harder. "Wait! I'm not done!" Kusanagi
went on in panic. He wasn't really handling this very well, but he was
determined to save the child. "He will by awakened by a kiss from his true
love! Really!"
Saya sniffled. "But he'll be a disembodied head..."
"Err...at least he's alive, ne?" the fairy responded with a nervous
laugh. Seishirou whacked him upside the head. "Baka. We never gave him
the ability to find his true love. You should have said he'd be awakened by
a good lay." Yuuto nodded in agreement.
"I was panicking!" Kusanagi cried.
Kyougo began to smile. "Well...I guess all we have to do is keep him
away from the shinken..." All the guests looked at the three fairies who
are not fairies but shall be called so for the purposes of this fic.
"Well...you _are_ the child's specialized godparents. How are you boys
at babysitting? For more than seventeen years?" Saya asked with a smile.
