Gone Away
Fic written by Anna Vincent--Song written by the Offsrping
Much thanks to my cousin for the idea here.
Thanks 4 comments and such on WS.
He screamed. His voice echoing, verberating a thousand times
over. The hoarseness in the tone, he was tired of screaming, but he
couldn't stop, maybe it was love, maybe he just cared alot.
Again, he called out the name, not that there was much point
to it now.
That name...Subaru. What was he feeling now?
Of course, the screaming was a thing of the past. It had
been months since the leader of the Seals had to call out for Subaru,
but the memory was as haunting as the actual thing.
Kamui, with his tiny shoulders slumped in a depressed manner,
stood before the door of the room that Subaru had locked himself in.
The violet eyed boy bowed his head, his voice trembling in
sorrow and yearning as he placed a hand on the door.
"Subaru,"
No answer, there never was, but he was persistent. You can't
let alone those you care about.
Kamui put more of his weight into the door, leaning his
forehead against it as his tears began to overtake him.
"Subaru, please,"
Again, no answer.
The boy shot up violently, slamming his delicate hand against
the door, echoing throughout the hallway of which he was located.
"Answer the door, dammit!" he yelled, as more tears gently
flowed down his cheeks. "Subaru!"
He repeated his movements, slamming his hand against the door
numerous times until his energy and emotions would no longer allow
it.
He leaned completely against the door, sobbing weakly as he
slid down the shining oak.
And there he sat, his back to the door, his head bowed, his
voice in sorrow, as a few of the other Seals ran to aid him.
[Maybe in another life, I could find you there...]
Subaru listened unemotionally to the commotion outside his
room. He sat in the middle of the floor, his hair dirty and ruffled
from endless days of no proper bathing. His clothes wrinkled and
bloodied, but not from the blood of his former lover.
It was his own blood.
Not only was it flashed upon his shirt, it was all over the
floor. Probably from small suicidal attempts.
The onmyouji swayed back and forth as he held a piece of
broken mirror to his small wrist. He continued to glance into the
tear smitten reflector, waiting, deciding, crying.
Seishirou was gone, what more did Subaru have to live for?
His emotions confused him, why did he love someone that hurt
him and others he cared about so much?
He continued swaying, thinking about his past partner,
whether or not they would meet again. He was so unsure.
The eerie sound of Kamui screaming for his name faded away,
either because the other Seals had taken him away to soothe him, or
Subaru was going into a mind slip.
'No more life,' Subaru thought, his eyes wide in psychosis,
he hadn't slept in days. 'Why do I need life?'
Subaru pressed the mirror into his skin gently, his skin
moving inward upon penetration, blood exiting thereafter.
The blood trickled from his wrist onto the floor. Subaru
slowly removed the glass, inhaling in what sounded like a moan let
out during moments of intimacy.
The onmyouji stared at his blood coated wrist, then gently
carressed it with his free hand.
As he touched the blood, he brought his reddened finger to
his lips, tasting the blood as his mind began to sink into rage.
'Sei...' he moaned as he looked onward toward a wall that had
nothing to show him.
[Pulled away before your time...I can't deal it's so
unfair...]
Subaru stood and threw the glass against the wall as it
shattered greatly, the sound as sharp as the glass' former point.
[And it feels, and it feels like...Heaven is so far away...
And it feels, yeah it feels like...the world has grown cold
now that you've gone away...]
Sorata stood outside the door, wondering worriedly what was
going on beyond that door.
He knocked lightly, trying to get the onmyouji's
attention. "Subaru-san,"
And, in a swift moment, Subaru seemed to be yanked out of his
rage, staring at the door as he finally heard Sorata calling.
"Subaru-san," the voice said gently. "Please open the door,"
Subaru became filled with rage once again as he fell to his
knees, sceaming in one horriffic lasting tone, gripping his hair,
looking upward, closing his eyes tightly, maybe to keep the light
from sinking in.
That was it, Sorata took a step back and slammed himself into
the locked door, allowing himself in.
Subaru sat like Kamui had, in the middle of the floor, his
tears mixing with his blood.
The young monk gained his focus back from the great impact as
he crawled over to Subaru and called for help.
(Time passes [doing so for song adaptment], let's say, three
or four months.)
The cemetery, ususally not one of the most intriguing places
to visit, Subaru thought as he walked throughout the peaceful garden
serenely.
Eventually, he reached his dreaded destination, a blackened
marble tombstone with letters engraved signifying a painful past and
end.
[Leaving flowers on your grave, to show that I still care...]
Subaru glanced at the memorial with eyes that began to turn
gray in pain. There were no flowers upon his lot, unless they were
from Subaru himself.
The onmyouji kneeled before the stone, placing a gothic black
rose at it's base, thereafter placing a hand upon the grave, maybe to
pray, perhaps to cry. It was hard to tell due to the fact that he
was hiding his eyes with his available hand.
[But black roses and Hail Mary's can't bring back what was
taken from me...]
Maybe, as if answering to Subaru, a rain began to fall upon
the area, increasing by the second. Subaru looked up to the sky, his
eyes now returning to green, but barely noticeable through the mix of
tears and rainfall.
The water trickled upon his face elegantly as he began to
clutch his stomach in pain. He hurled himself over, gripping the
rose that he had set down. Though he forgot that roses had thorns.
He closed his eyes once again, this time though, with more
tightness. His hand became the tint of a runny crimson as the blood
had flowed so much that it creeped through the gaps between his
squeezing fingers.
The onmyouji failed to reopen his crying eyes as he moved his
head to the direction of the sky.
[I reach to the sky and call out your name...]
"Seishirou!" he screamed as the thunder began to roll angrily
and lightning struck a nearby tree.
[And if I could trade, I would...]
Subaru fell over in pain, still holding the rose, but his
trenchcoat became filthy with wet dirt.
[And it feels, and it feels like Heaven is so far away...
And it stings, yeah it stings now, the world is so cold now
that you've gone away...]
[Gone away...
Gone away...
Gone away...]
Subaru brought himself back up, the rain washing the mud from
his back and side as he glanced again to the stone, tossing the
broken rose back to it's home.
[I said it's so...far! *Ahem... ^Dexter Holland screams^*]
[I reach to the sky...]
Subaru, almost as if he didn't notice the precipitation,
revealed a cigarrette as he placed it to his lips. Attempting and
failing to ignite it, he left the object in his mouth as it slumped
downward from being soaked.
[And call out your name...
Oh please let me trade, I would...]
Almost emotionally, almost, he turns his back to the grave,
wiping his eyes roughly, and proceeds to leave.
[And it feels, and it feels like Heaven is so far away...
And it feels, yeah it feels like the world has grown cold now
that you've gone away...]
Wow, I had to pull that one out from /way/ back. I've been working
on a site, and, upon editing a certain part, a bit pertianed to this
song, and I knew I had done a fic for it. So I kind of edited it
(not that you can tell -.-), and posted it in pure fun.
That's all for now, I'll have WS part 3 up sometime, probably this
weekend (oy vey.....)
