Here's part 2 as promised. Still don't know how long it's gonna be o.O;;
I've planned the main part but I'm not sure how I want to end it. Any
ideas are welcome along with c & c ^____^
HAVEN'T WE MET BEFORE? (2/?)

Disclaimer: The holy oracle X is property of the Holy Goddesses CLAMP
and their High Priestess Ohkawa Nanase but the twisted little concept
of this story was my idea so hands off or you'll be speaking to my
lawyer ... He's the tall well-dressed individual wearing the shades and
standing under the sakura tree ^_^

*She's starting to get heavy. Before I drop her there's something I
want to know. Why her? What's so important about her that you try to
stop me now after all the others I've killed without the slightest
interference from you?* Fuuma smiled venonmously, already guessing the
answer. *That's very sweet. Funny, before I came along you didn't seem
to have much of a personality. I can't think where you two could've
met.*
~Then let me enlighten you.~
* * *
Hinoto had made it very clear that she wanted Arashi to protect Kamui
and the Hidden Shrine Maiden of Ise had made it very clear that she
would do just that, with or without Saiki's help. At the moment she was
without him, standing outside the high school Kamui was supposed to
have been enroled in after leaving Okinawa. She wanted to try and talk
to him civily but she didn't know how he'd react. At least Arashi knew
she could set up a kekkai if Kamui was stupid enough to start a fight
with her in public.
"Nee-chan, look out!"
Arashi turned at the warning just in time for a soccer ball to hit her
in the face. She stepped back, covering her nose with her hand.
"Shimatta, Monou-sempai, you broke her nose."
A tall youth with weird hair ran up to her. "Gomen nasai, I didn't see
you standing there. Are you alright?"
Arashi took her hand away to reveal a blood smudge below her nose and a
bloody palm. "Yes," she said in a nasaly voice. "I think."
"Let me take you to the nurse, onegai."
"I'll be okay," Arashi said, cupping her hand over her nose again. "I
just need to find a bathroom."
"Are you sure it's not broken?" Fuuma asked nervously. A few people
were watching them now, and some were commenting on how pretty she was.
He felt bad for hurting her in the face.
Arashi nodded.
Fuuma led her by the arm, making sure she kept her head back. She
lipped inside the bathroom, leaving the high school senior to wait.
Minutes later Kotori emerged from the girls bathroom, her shrill
anxious voice catching in his ear. "Onii-chan, you hurt
Arashi-tenkousei?" Her fangirl tachi crowded around her, eagerly
awaiting Fuuma's answer.
He was so startled he forgot to answer. *Arashi?*
"It was an accident," Arashi's reassurance followed closely in an
attempt to catch the distraught Kotori.
"You should be more careful, Onii-chan," Kotori scolded. "What
impression do you want to give her of the boys in this school on her
first day?"
Colour shot to Fuuma's face and for some reason it was no comfort that
Kotori's girlfriends were also blushing. Arashi stepped in to clear up
the misunderstanding.
"I don't attend this high school, I'm looking for someone." The bell
rang. *Kamui, if I've missed him ...* "Gomen, I have to go. Kotori."
She wanted to thank the youth Kotori addressed as her older brother but
she didn't know his name. There wasn't time to ask. Her eyes met his
briefly and then she hurried down the corridor packed with students
moving outside for roll call.
"Arashi-san!" Fuuma came to life suddenly. "Arashi's her name, ne?"
"Yeah. Onii-chan--!"
But he was already following her form as it slipped in and out amongst
the students.
"Monou-sempai is so cool. I wish he'd chase after me like that," one of
Kotori's friends said wistfully. The others laughed.
"Arashi-san, wait!" Fuuma called, slowing to a walk when he caught up
to her at the school entrance.
She turned her head sharply at the sound of his voice, her hair
whipping over her shoulder to hang behind her back.
"It's none of my business, but who are you looking for? I might be able
to help you find them." He hung back awkwardly. His sister's adoring
yet vulnerable friends weren't half as difficult to approach as a
pretty stranger with confidence.
"It's okay, you wouldn't know him, he's a transfer student. I was
hoping to meet him before school but I must've missed him while I was
in the bathroom."
"That's my fault," Fuuma began apologetically. "What's his name? I
could check at roll call and come back and tell you."
Arashi smiled involuntarily at his eagerness to help her. It wasn't
necessary to feel guilty about hitting her unintentionally. "No, it's
not important. You'll be late." She didn't want to involve anyone not
concerned with the end of the world.
Fuuma glanced over his shoulder. His group of friends were standing on
the lawn where they'd been kicking the soccer ball around. "Yeah ..."
He noted absently and turned back to her. *I'll probably never see her
again.* "I'm Fuuma Monou."
"Arashi Kishuu." She was surprised to find herself answering to a boy
who hadn't even posed a question.
"Monou-sempai!"
Fuuma took a step back reluctantly. Schoolwork, soccer, Kotori and the
shrine; the things his life revolved around. Girls weren't something he
paid much attention to until now. "I hope you find who you're looking
for. Good-bye." Those were his last words to her as he hurried back to
his tachi. His only regret was not having said something more.
"Sayonara," Arashi echoed him and turned her mind back to Kamui
reluctantly.
* * *
"Kamui!" Arashi screamed as her neck slipped free of Fuuma's grip. The
only one who could save her now was most likely lying broken in a pool
of blood and angel wing feathers forty stories below.
"Arashi!"
She opened her eyes not because she was still alive, dangling a few
feet lower that she had been by her wrist. It was the familiarity of
the voice. The grip, too. Only it was more gentle now than it had been
a split second ago.
"I've got you."
Arashi stared wide-eyed into the unchanged features of the Kamui of the
Dragons of Earth. "Fuuma?"
