ICHIBAN DAISETSUNA HITO Chapter 03 By: Sumeragi Aoi sentence starts with this means that person is talking inside his heart -- Hokuto slipped into her gorgeous white long coat, before she kissed Kakyou once again. "Well. I am going now. I’ll see you tonight." "Aoiiii!!!" Hokuto shouted and Kakyou grimaced. "Don’t shout like that…" Aoi came running. "Yes… Hokuto nee san?" "Why don’t you come with me? Change your clothes, it will probably be cold outside." Aoi nodded then ran to her room again. A few minutes later she came out, ready to go. She wore a blue sky soft sweaters, which matched her blue eyes with a pair of white pants. She slipped into her white jacket and wore her blue sketch shoes. "I’m ready!" She said excitedly. Hokuto smiled. "Well. Let’s go! Bye Kakyou." "Bye Kakyou Nii san!" -------Subaru--------- The place was dark. A pitch black darkness. Subaru sat there alone, slowly the place changed into Tokyo Tower, the Observatory Room. Subaru stood there, looking into the sky, red as the sun set down slowly. Suddenly there was a ring in his ears, a high pitched ring. He covered his ears with both hands and shut his eyes. When the ring finally ended, he stood up, sadness in his clear green eyes. Subaru closed his eyes and the place changed back into the darkness before. "Another Shin Ken is born… Kamui…" A far away cry. Subaru glanced to the direction of the cry. --Someone is falling-- Subaru used his mental will and saw the person. A girl, beautiful with long curly brown hair and blue eyes. She was shouting, terrified and crying in despair. Subaru grabbed her hand and brought her to the ‘surface’. "You will not be able to come back if you keep falling like that. Come here…" Subaru guided the girl into his place. The girl stood there, quite far from where he stood. The place was dark and she wouldn’t be able to see him clearly. "Who are you…?" her voice was trembling. "…." Subaru was silenced. "You was almost dragged down into the darkness. Maybe you experienced something bad and refused to wake up." Instead, Subaru changed the subject. "Am I sleeping…?" she asked. "Your heart is…" Subaru saw the girl glanced around. His eyes is used to this darkness but hers are not. She wouldn’t be able to see anything at all. "What is this place? Why are you here?" Subaru smiled silently. "This is the darkness of my heart. You almost fell into the darkness of your heart before but I brought you here. At least you won’t fell into that endless darkness." "Darkness… of your heart?…" She repeated Subaru’s words. Subaru nodded, though knew she wouldn’t be able to see that. "Yes. I will stay here until the ‘promise day’…" The girl walked a few steps, trying to get to his place. Subaru moved back a bit. "Can I get to your place…? It’s so dark here…" Suddenly the place changed again. Slowly it became the Observatory Room in Tokyo Tower like before. "The Observatory Room in Tokyo Tower." The girl looked around and identified the place. "Do you like this place?" Subaru said softly. The girl turned to see him. She then smiled. "Thank you for helping me. My name is Kotori. Monou Kotori." Subaru was looking out to the sky, a few birds were flying freely. "Kotori… that is a nice name…" "What is your name?" Kotori moved to stand beside him. Subaru turned his face to see her. No one had ever asked that for a very long time now. Subaru looked down and smiled silently. "Subaru. My name is Subaru…" "Have you been here all along? Are you ‘sleeping’ as well?" Kotori asked him with curiosity in her big blue eyes. "Until the ‘Promise Day’. Then I shall go…" "Don’t you feel lonely here?" "Maybe not… my ‘heart’ had died long time ago… ." Subaru said softly. "You are lying…" Subaru glanced up in surprise. Kotori hand came up to stroke his face, then she cupped his face in both her palms. Kotori looked into his eyes intensely. "You are lying Subaru… Your eyes showed such sadness, loneliness and pain… what happen to you?" "What happen to me…? It was such a long time ago… I don’t remember again…" Subaru dropped his gaze to the floor. "Don’t you have anyone you want to see?" Kotori asked again. Her eyes brimming with tears. Subaru smiled silently. Maybe she felt sorry for me, he thought. She shouldn’t. "Oh, yes I do have someone I want to see badly…" "Then… wake up, Subaru… for that person’s sake." Kotori started to cry. "Then.. you too, have to wake up, for the sake of Kamui…" Subaru returned her words back at her. Kotori glanced up in surprise. "You know Kamui?" Subaru glanced out the window, the sun had set completely now. It started to get dark there. "You have to go, Kotori. It’s not good to stay here for such a long time…" Subaru used a little of his power to send Kotori back to her place. As a wings appeared behind her, Subaru watched her flew out of his ‘heart’. He could hear Kotori called his name, but it was distance. "Sayonara…" He smiled softly. ---------Kakyou------------ Kakyou was sitting in Subaru’s room, reading one of the books he found in Subaru’s book shelf when he felt power flared from his direction. Kakyou threw his book and quickly ran to Subaru’s side. But he remained the same. Sleeping soundly like usual. The power has gone. Kakyou frowned his brows and thought that it was only a mistake. He turned to pick his book from the floor, and frowned when he felt ‘something’. ‘….Kakyou san….’ A voice! Kakyou frowned, the voice was so soft, it sounded like it came from a very far away place. ‘Kakyou san….’ There it came again, stronger than before. That was when he realised the call came from Subaru! He ran walked back to Subaru’s side, he was not mistaken. There was a slight flare of power came from Subaru. ‘Kakyou san… I know you can hear me…’ "Subaru…?" Unsure, Kakyou called out. ‘Yes… it’s me… . Can you help me…?’ The voice came inside his mind. Kakyou realised the Subaru was using a sort of telepathy connection. "What do you want me to do?" he asked. ‘Bring me my Shikifuku. I am sure Hokuto will have it here.’ Kakyou quickly walked to the wardrobe and opened the door. He started to rumble through the clothes when Subaru spoke again. ‘It is folded at the corner of the last door…’ Kakyou moved to the last door and found the Shikifuku folded neatly there. "How do you know…?" he asked Subaru. ‘I feel it. …, Kakyou san,’ "Yes, Subaru…" Kakyou brought the Shikifuku to the bed and sat it there. There was no sign that Subaru has or will wake up at all. ‘Could you help me wear the Shikifuku and bring me to the Imonoyama Mansion?’ Kakyou frowned. –Imonoyama Mansion?-- He nodded in silent and started to do what Subaru asked him to. ‘Thank you…’ ---------Hokuto and Aoi----------- They were walking, talking about small things, when an earthquake shook the city. Both startled. People started to scream around them. Hokuto took out a piece of Ofuda and cast a mantra to check out her feeling. The Ofudas formed out an up side down star. --Sakurazukamori!!!!-- Hokuto smiled before she ran to the direction of the power. Aoi startled and ran after her. "Waaiitt! Hokuto Nee san!!" Aoi knew that symbol as well. The Sakurazukamori. She is trained by Hokuto herself and she knew that Sakurazuka is the enemy of the Sumeragi. Hokuto kept running, leaving Aoi behind. As she approached the power source, she realised she was moving to the Nakano Plaza. Hokuto leaped up to the nearest building, in hope to get there faster. Aoi followed her closed behind. Hokuto smiled, she knew that Aoi has the talent, she has the raw power inside her, it was easy to teach her how to use it. They moved faster from one building to another. Suddenly Hokuto realised she had just passed a couple who stood on the previous building. They must have something to do with ‘this’, but there was no time to stop by and say hello. Hokuto glanced back and quickly moved to Nakano Plaza. Sorata’s eyes widened as a lady just passed him. Faster than him! Before he could say anything, another person passed him. This time a young teen, with brown hair, which flowing with the wind. She too glanced back like the first lady did. Sorata and Arashi quickly followed them. It seemed that they were directing to the same place as they. --------Imonoyama Mansion--------- Kakyou materialised in on of the big launch room together with Subaru in his arms. Carefully he put Subaru down into one of the soft sofas. ‘transportation is easy when you have power ne…’ Subaru said softly. Kakyou laughed at his comment. "That’s right Subaru…" Kakyou looked around, not sure of what to do. ‘Kamui will be back here soon….’ Kakyou turned to Subaru as he mentioned the name. "Subaru?! You know about Kamui??" Somehow Kakyou thought he saw Subaru smiled, although he remained the same. ‘I am one of the Dragons of Heaven, Kakyou san…’ ‘Ho…’ Before Subaru managed to finish his sentence, the building shook. "Earthquake! Hokuto…!" Kakyou was about to leave but suddenly he stopped and clenched his teeth. ‘You had promised not to play in this game, ne, Kakyou san…? I will leave to help Hokuto. Please help Kamui when he is here…’ With that, Kakyou felt that Subaru’s existence left the room. He sat there, beside Subaru, covered his face and felt useless. -------Nakano Plaza------- Hokuto landed on a building. Her emerald eyes started to search for that person. He was easily identified. Standing alone, surrounded by the rest of the building. Hokuto jumped and landed in front of Sakurazuka Seishirou. He looked surprised, but only a second before he took his glasses off and gave his best smile. Hokuto glared at him. They had finally meet after 8 years! Seishirou smiled and greeted her. "Why what a surprise… Hokuto…." Seishirou took out his cigarette and light it. That was when Aoi landed behind Hokuto. The soft thud made him glanced up. --That girl!!-- Seishirou’s brows frowned as he tried to remember. Slowly his face changed back. "You… we met before, ne? Eight years ago… . I see that you have grown up into such a lovely young lady." Seishirou spoke. "Shut up! Seishirou!!" Hokuto glared at him angrily. "We shall finish what is left 8 years ago!!" At the mention of the name, Aoi’s eyes widened. --Seishirou?! So this is Seishirou?-- She thought she saw him somewhere before, and then she remembered that noon, eight years ago. It was when Subaru had called her. It was when she met Hokuto! At that time… Hokuto was confronting this man!! So he is Seishirou…. Seishirou laughed mockingly. "Don’t be so angry… we were a step far from becoming a family, you know?" Hokuto felt her anger rose inside. She took out her Ofudas. "Stay away Aoi." She hissed. "Playing rough huh?" Seishirou smiled. ‘…we meet again…’ A voice came into Aoi’s mind as she jumped to land on a building as Hokuto asked her to. Immediately she recognised the voice. "Subaru?!" She called out. ‘yes… it’s me… I need your help again.’ She didn’t know why but she felt a sudden joy in her heart. "What do you want me to do?" ‘I need to borrow your existence but you have to trust in me…’ Aoi nodded. "I trust you." ‘thank you….’ As soon as the voice disappeared, Aoi felt something moved into her existence. Into her mind. ‘listen to me…. closed your eyes.’ Aoi was unsure at first. But when she saw that Hokuto had start fighting Seishirou, she suddenly knew why Subaru had come. She closed her eyes, and concentrated on what to do next. ‘control your balance, think of someone you love and guide your power to your hands…’ Aoi did so and soon she felt all her power flaring from her hands. And before she knew what happened, she felt an unnamed power dragged all her power and something flaring out of her hands. When she opened her eyes, the world had fell silence. Both Hokuto and Seishirou glanced up in surprise. --Kekkai?!?!-- Hokuto only had a second before she felt pushed out of there, but she saw Aoi stood there with power flaring from her. Not her power. Seishirou was surprised but his face showed nothing. He smiled, "A Kekkai? Young lady… you are interesting…." Aoi didn’t know why Hokuto disappeared suddenly but that man still there. She stood there confused. Suddenly Seishirou jumped to her side and cupped her small face. "Who are you…? I can sense you are not a Dragon of Heaven…" "LET her goooo!!!"
