ICHIBAN DAISETSUNA HITO Chapter 04 By: Sumeragi Aoi sentence starts with -- means that person talks inside his heart Seishirou turned and saw Arashi and Sorata landed not far from them. He chuckled and released Aoi. "It seems that I must go before I ruined my Armani suits again…" With that he dissolved into thousands of Sakura petals. Sorata quickly ran to Aoi’s side. "Are you alright?" Aoi nodded. Arashi looked at Sorata in confusion before they asked her name. "Sumeragi Aoi…" Aoi answered them as she felt no threat from the two of them. "Sumeragii??" Sorata’s eyes bulged out in shock. "but but I thought the 14th head of the Sumeragi Clan’s name is Sumeragi Hokuto?!" Aoi wanted to explain that when she felt something brushed off her mind. Then slowly the Kekkai dissolve and people reappeared. "Subaru!!" she shouted. Then Hokuto suddenly was beside her again. "Hokuto nee san!!" Aoi shouted as she approached her. Hokuto was bleeding from a rather nasty wound on her stomach. "Are you alright?" she helped her stood straight. Hokuto then saw the couple she met before. "Who are you ?" She asked, rather harsh, her anger was still there. Seishirou was so closed but she didn’t kill him! She has a deja vu, this had happened before. 8 years ago, when she confronted Seishirou, the same thing happened. She was pushed away… could it be… Her thought was cut off by Sorata’s reply. "Maaa… don’t be so scary…" Sorata back a few steps as he put his hands up. "My name is Kishuu Arashi. …" Arashi introduced herself. "And I am Arisugawa Sorata, her future husband!!" but Sorata quickly shut up as Arashi glared at him merciless. Hokuto suddenly had the urge to laugh, and she did laugh, followed by cough. "Don’t laugh Hokuto Nee san!!! You are wounded!" Aoi said worriedly. "So… I supposed you are the 14th Head of The Sumeragi Clan? Sumeragi Hokuto sama?" Sorata asked as he helped Hokuto to stand. Hokuto nodded. "You are more beautiful than what people said about you!" He continued. "Really?.. thank you… this is Sumeragi Aoi, my sister." Hokuto introduced Aoi to them. "So… your sister is a Dragon of Heaven…" Arashi said calmly. While Aoi looked lost. Hokuto turned to look at her and wanted to ask her about the kekkai, but before she had a chance to say anything at all, a blast of incredibly strong power exploded. Both Sorata and Arashi looked worried as they shouted, "Kamui!!" They jumped to the direction of the blast. Hokuto quickly followed them as well as Aoi. -----------Subaru---------- "Subaru….?" A voice called him, slowly Subaru opened his eyes and saw Kotori standing in front of him. He smiled at her. "We meet again…" "Where were you? You didn’t answer when I called you." Kotori said as she sat down on the floor beside him. "I was away…" "What is this sound?" Kotori looked around. "It’s the Shinken, it is crying." Subaru said slowly. Mainly exhausted as he just raised a kekkai from another person’s body, but something twisted inside him. Seishirou san… this was the second time he saw Seishirou after ‘that’… The real Seishirou… . Subaru’s emerald eyes turned to meet Kotori’s blue eyes. He touched her cheek softly. "I am sorry… I can’t help you…" Kotori smiled, knowing what would happen. "You have helped me more than what I need, Subaru…" "I have a wish…" Subaru listened as she spoke. "Will you help me? Subaru…" "If I can…" --------Imonoyama Mansion-------------- "Who are you?" Fuuma or the Dark Kamui asked in a cold tone. He didn’t flinch at all at the view of his sister bleeding. Kotori opened her eyes and showed a pair of clear green eyes. "This girl doesn’t wish for Kamui to die…" Dark Kamui smirked. "Dragon of Heaven…? Interesting… using this death body…" Before he finished the sentence, the Dragon of Heaven were all there. He turned to look at them, by the time he looked back at Kotori, that person had leave the body. Dark Kamui smiled to himself. --This is interesting-- "I … will kill you, Kamui!" Kamui’s violet eyes stared blankly at him as Dark Kamui leaped off the place as he finished the sentence. The concretes started to fall and cut into Kotori’s flesh. "KOTORIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kamui shouted in agony. Aoi moved behind Hokuto and hid her face. Hokuto closed her eyes, the shout was so sad that it burned through her soul. Hokuto saw Sorata ran to the boy’s side. The other followed him. Aoi started to cry, Hokuto hugged her gently. Three young men arrived there with heavy breath. They must have been running all the way. That was the last think registered in Hokuto’s mind before everything became black and she fell backward. Aoi was surprised when Hokuto suddenly fell backward, she tried to catch her but a strong arm came to catch her limp body. Aoi glanced up with gratitude as she saw Kakyou lifted Hokuto up into his arms. "Kakyou Nii san!!!" Kakyou nodded at her. He looked back the unconscious Hokuto and frowned. "Hokuto… finally everything started.." Kakyou said to himself as he walked back to the mansion along with the others. Sorata had Kamui in his arms, he ran as quick as he could to the mansion. Nokoru Imonoyama had called for doctors. ---------Kotori--------- "Thank you Subaru…" she said with a smile. Subaru let her touched his face, they were the same height. Kotori smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "I hope you find your happiness, Subaru. You have such a gentle heart…. Thank you for everything…" Subaru watched as she started to float. She is beautiful, like an angel, or maybe she is an angel, but born in the wrong time and the wrong place. "Tell my brother and Kamui that I love them and … that, the future hasn’t been decide yet…" Subaru caught a soft feather that fell as Kotori dissolved into a very bright light. ------Imonoyama Mansion----- Kakyou sat beside unconscious Hokuto. Subaru lied there at the next sofa. Aoi sat beside Subaru. The other people were in another room. Nokoru stood there, "So… this is Sumeragi Subaru…" He looked into the identical face of Sumeragi Hokuto, who lied unconscious in Kakyou’s arms. Nokoru already heard about the 13th Head of The Sumeragi Clan. Sumeragi Subaru. He was a very powerful Onmyouji but something happened, they said it has something to do with the Sakurazukamori. Then Subaru’s sister replaced him as the 14th Head of the Sumeragi Clan. Everyone thought that Sumeragi Subaru is dead. Nokoru never thought that someone could sleep for 8 years and not wake up at all. ‘Kakyou san… Imonoyama san…’ A voice floated in the room. Nokoru was surprised but Kakyou wasn’t. "What is it Subaru?" Kakyou replied him. Nokoru looked confused but quickly controlled his shock. ‘Could you bring me to Kamui please…?’ there it came again… Kakyou was about to lay Hokuto down and help Subaru but Nokoru gestured him not to. "Let me help Subaru san. Please take care of Hokuto san…" Slowly Nokoru lifted Subaru up in his arms. With Aoi following close behind, they left the room to Kamui’s room. Aoi opened the door for Nokoru, everyone looked at them. Aoi could see grief in their eyes, they all must be Kamui’s close friends. The girl with short hair and a spirit dog still crying in the corner of the room. "Imonoyama san, who is…." Sorata asked as he approached Nokoru. "This is Sumeragi Subaru…. He asked me to bring him to Kamui." Nokoru calmly walked into the room inside that room, where Kamui was. Nokoru gently lay Subaru beside Kamui. The other had followed them into the room. ‘Kamui… we finally meet…’ Suddenly the door burst opened, Hokuto was breathing hard, she leaned at the door for support. Kakyou appeared behind her, helping her to walk to the bed. "Subaru…." Hokuto’s eyes were brimming with tears. Not sure of what had happened. No reply from Subaru, but Hokuto thought she saw Subaru smiled at her. She moved her eyes to the person laid beside Subaru. "Kamui…." "He is not answering…" Sorata said to Hokuto. He stood there looking down at Kamui, who stared blankly at them. "Help me Kakyou…." Hokuto moved to Kamui’s side, she touched his forehead, but Kakyou snatched her hand. "No! You are wounded!! You can’t do that, it is too risky!!" "Do what…?" Arashi asked calmly but her eyes showed worry. "I want to enter Kamui’s heart to help him out…" Sorata’s eyes bulged out. "e.. enter his heart?" but then he remembered who Hokuto is. "No! You can’t do this! You are wounded, Hokuto…." "But! I…" Hokuto didn’t finish her sentence as a voice interrupted her. ‘Kakyou san is right, Hokuto…’ The voice floated in mid air, seemed to come from far. Hokuto turned to Subaru in surprise. "Subaru?! Subaru was that you?!" ‘You haven’t forgot my voice, right?…. Hokuto…’ Subaru said softly. Hokuto thought she saw Subaru’s eyes twinkled and searched for any sign of Subaru waking up but he stayed the same. Kakyou put his hands on Hokuto’s shoulders and said, "Subaru spoke to me this morning and asked me to bring him here… but he is not awake…" ‘Kakyou san…. Can you help me open a way to Kamui?’ Before Kakyou had a chance to response Hokuto hold him back and shook her head in fear. "No… no… don’t use your power… they will find you, Kakyou…!" Kakyou saw fear of loosing in Hokuto’s eyes, she was trembling. Kakyou looked around at the people, at the Dragons of Heaven, to Nokoru then back to the emerald eyes he loved so much. He was about to open his mouth when Aoi moved forward. "I can do that." Hokuto and Kakyou looked at her. Aoi stepped onto the bed, she sat in between Kamui and Subaru. She took both Subaru’s hand and Kamui’s into hers. "Aoiii!" Hokuto tried to stop her but Subaru’s voice came again. ‘That is alright, Hokuto… she is strong… she will be able to hold the way open…’ Sorata bent forward and looked seriously into Aoi’s eyes. "Are you sure?" Aoi nodded in determination. "Yes." ‘Follow me, Aoi san…’ Subaru said in her mind. The other moved back, giving space for Aoi, Subaru and Kamui. ‘Noubou akyasha kyarabaya on arikya maribori sowaka….’ Subaru spoke the mantra inside Aoi’s mind and she repeated it. Hokuto immediately recognised the mantra. She hasn’t teach Aoi that mantra, it must be Subaru who guided her. "Noubou akyasha kyarabaya on arikya maribori sowaka" The room fell into silence as Aoi continued the mantra. Slowly she closed her eyes, Kamui following behind. Then the room was in complete silence. Aoi’s body started to glow, a soft glow. "The way is opened…." Hokuto said softly. Aoi tensed as she felt a presence passed through her body. She concentrated her power, balanced it between her connection with Kamui and her connection Subaru to keep the way opened. -----------Subaru----------- Subaru moved through Aoi’s body to Kamui’s. All of the sudden he was inside Kamui’s heart. Subaru abruptly moved to one side as a dragon roared in front of him. --Kyohi Hannou!!-- He knew that people always have something in their hearts that will protect them from intruders. But this was the first time for him to meet a dragon. It reflected Kamui’s power as [KAMUI]. Subaru shielded his face from the attacks and kept penetrating to the deeper part. Under the next layer he found Kamui. --KAMUI!-- Subaru stood there, --This is…-- What Subaru saw before him was the freshest memory of Kamui. The memory of Fuuma turned into Dark Kamui and killed the girl he loved, Kotori. Subaru remembered Kotori when she said goodbye to him as she left this world to the higher place. Kamui fell deeper and Subaru followed. Another memory of Kamui. The childhood time of Kamui, Kotori and Fuuma. As Subaru saw childhood Kotori, he though he saw her somewhere before, but his thought was cut off when he heard childhood Kamui screamed. Slowly Subaru approached childhood Kamui. He was sobbing, mumbling Kotori and Fuuma’s name. Subaru knelt down beside childhood Kamui and called him gently. Kamui didn’t seem to realise that there was an intruder in his heart. Subaru called again and shook Kamui a little hard to make him looked at him. Kamui’s violet eyes came into focus as he looked at Subaru. "Who…?" "Sumeragi Subaru…" Kamui shook his head, "I don’t know…" "Please… don’t kill Kotori. Don’t kill Fuuma…! Please…" childhood Kamui started to loose his control again. "Kamui… you have to leave this place." Subaru cupped his small face and looked into his eyes. A pair of crystal clear violet eyes. "… you have to leave, or you will never be able to leave… like me…" Subaru continued. Kamui looked into him, as if waiting for him to continue, and Subaru continued his sentence. "You are at the bottom of your heart now. If you don’t leave, you will fall into the deepest part of your heart…" "Something happened and it hurt you, and you ran away from reality…. Just like what I did." Subaru made an illusion of someone he cared so much. So much that it hurt him. An image of Seishirou laughing appeared before them, beside him was Subaru himself and Hokuto with her outrageous clothes. "That’s you…. And…" "My sister, Hokuto…" Subaru smiled at Kamui. When Kamui saw Seishirou, his face frozen. "I know that person." "You know Seishirou san?" at the mentioned of his name, Subaru’s heart flinched ever so slightly. It hurt him. "Sakurazuka Seishirou, a kind veterinarian who stayed near my house… I loved that person." Kamui saw Subaru’s green eyes softened as he spoke about him. "I didn’t realise that, until he lost his eye for me. I cried for that and knew at once that he alone is special to me…" Childhood Kamui turned to see Seishirou again and surprised to see a different person there. The same person but this one has cold eyes and a cold smirk on his lips. "This is Sakurazuka Seishirou, Kamui. The person who uses the Onmyoujutsu to kill - Sakurazuka Mori" Subaru said without leaving his eyes from the illusion. "but, what is the difference?" "The difference is that this Seishirou said that there is no difference between human and thing…" Kamui looked up to see Subaru with his wide innocent violet eyes. "You mean, he said that everything is alive like humans are?" Subaru’s eyes widened, he never thought that sentence as that meaning. He smiled softly and shook his head. "No… he meant that what ever he destroyed, whether it is a living things or not, he wouldn’t and couldn’t feel anything." The illusion changed again, Seishirou under a big magnificent Sakura tree and Hokuto with her Shikifuku stood in front of him. Kamui saw Seishirou lifted up his hand, he knew at once that he was about to kill Subaru’s sister. He ran, wanting to help but Subaru grabbed his arm. Shaking his head, Subaru smiled. "Hokuto is alright… she is alive…" Childhood Kamui turned back to the illusion, a little girl had appeared in between the two of them. Hokuto was pushed down. Seishirou’s hand stopped in mid air, there was a slight shock in his face. Kamui’s eyes widened and he shouted, "Kotoriii!!!" The little girl turned his back to Seishirou and wrapped her small arms around Hokuto. Kamui moved to run to her side. "KOTORIIIII!!!"
