If I Ever Lose My Faith In You
by Anna Vincent
Oooookay, seeing as how this songfic trend is becoming really popular, I
figured I'd give it a try.
I was downloading alot of songs I liked as a kid, and no, I wasn't
downlaoding Glay songs, to my surprise. I remembered this one song by
Sting, a really pretty song. Anywho, I was reading the great fic Storm
Front by Shanti Fader for the....Kami, tenth time? And I was inspired as I
was listening to the song.
DISCLAIMER: Seiichirou Aoki, Karen Kasumi, Daisuke Saiki, Shimako Aoki, and
Yuka Aoki all are property of CLAMP. Lyrics are property of Sting, maybe
the Police (the band, sillies...), but whoever they belong to, they sure as
hell don't belong to me.
Oh, Kami, enough with the dramatics, let's get this show on the road!
**********************
--You could say I lost my faith in science, and progress...--
[Seiichirou Aoki is hard at work in his office, and finally drops
everything, leans back into his chair, and begins to think deeply.]
--You could say I lost my belief in the Holy Church--
[He remembers faded memories of his wedding with Shimako.]
--You could say I lost my sense of direction...--
[He soon remembers meeting Karen.]
--You could say all of this and worse but...--
[He remembers how Karen has always been a good friend to him.]
--If I ever lose my faith in you...--
[He begins to hope that he and Karen will always be friends **If not more?
>=)**]
--There'd be nothing left for me to do...--
[Aoki questions just exactly he -would do- without her.]
--Someone said I was a lost man in a lost world...--
[Seiichirou recalls how some people believe he works himself to death, and
he tends to forget about other things...]
--You could say I lost my faith in the people on tv...--
[Seiichirou turns off the television, as it distracts him...**block -.-**]
--You could say I lost my belief in the politicians...--
[Seiichirou begins to wonder about Tokyo, and his protection of it.]
--They all seem like game show hosts to me...--
[Seiichirou begins to ponder if this is all just one big game played by
God.]
--If I ever lose my faith in you...--
[He then knows that no matter what, Karen will always be there for him, and
he needn't worry about too many other things...]
--There'd be nothing left for me to do...--
[He sighs happily as he begins to think of her again.]
--I could be lost inside their lies without a trace...--
[He thinks about how life can get rough.]
--But everytime I close my eyes I see your face...--
[But knowing she will be there to console him, Seiichirou closes his eyes
and sighs happily, yet brokenly.]
--I never saw no miracle of science...--
[Seiichirou begins to think about Shimako and Yuka, and their safety...]
--That didn't go from a blessing to a curse...--
[He frightens himself with nightmares of their demise.]
--I never saw no military solution...--
[He begins to think about the Promised Day, and the battle that will soon
surface.]
--That didn't always end up as something worse...--
[He's certain that nothing good will come out in the end.]
--But let me say this first...--
[He remembers when he told Daisuke that he had not yet met a person that he
deeply loved, that he was going to use his granted wind powers to protect,
but that he would certainly meet someone in the future. **See X12, maybe I'm
reading it wrong, I hope not!**]
--If I ever lose my faith in you....--
[He now realizes that it is Karen...]
--If I ever lose my faith in you...--
[Although he is quite surprised it was not Shimako or Yuka, he is for sure
it is Karen.]
--There'd be nothing left for me to do...--
[It all finally becomes clear to him...]
--There'd be nothing left for me to do...--
[He closes his eyes once more, and thinks of Karen...]
--If I ever lose my faith...--
--If I ever lose my faith...--
--If I ever lose my faith...--
--If I ever lose my faith...--
[He speaks...]
"Karen..." he sighs.
--In you...--
{The music fades...}

Eh, well, there ya go, repetitive at times....I was blocked with a few
things, I mean, how in the heck are you going to tie Aoki in with
television???? That was pretty fun, I'll have to try it again sometime...
I've also been on what you could call a "writer's roll" lately, and I have
two other projects that I'm working on. They are entitled "Jerry
Springer...and X?" and "Gone to the Glay Concert".
Kakyou: **sarchastically** Wow, you sure are good with names!
Great Scott...
Anyway, "Gone to the Glay Concert" was/is a fun project to me, Kamui and a
few others go to a Glay concert, get drunk, and run into the CLAMP Campus
Trio...and proceed to get drunk more!
Kakyou: A genius in literature, I'm sure...outstanding plot development
there, Anna.
**rolls her eyes** They're humor fics, they aren't supposed to be
intellectual!
Kakyou: Yeah, but you aren't funny...
**sighs** No winning with you...Okay, I'm wasting the readers time, so shut
up Kuzuki-san!
Kakyou: **grins** Only if you have Tylenol PM...
-.- Might I add it's 5 a.m., I've been up all night...
Kakyou: You should try sleeping, it's fun...
