Hello minna-san! My name is Tony-chan (or T-chan) and although I've been in the

I hope you like it and I'm dying (in all the possible meanings of the word) to

"Silence"
"There's a skeleton in everybody's closet
I can think of one or two in my own room
But I would like to introduce them both to you
You'd shake their bony hands and so dispell the gloom
'Cause you're so kind
I know you would not mind
You'd send away the ghosts that haunt me now
And the things I fear
Just wouldn't seem so near
And when I stroll out late at night
There would be nothing rattling at my heels..."

album: "The Ghosts That Haunt Me".

Silence. The silence was the worst part during his seemingly endless
nights. There were sounds, of course. However, none a single voice, just the
ghosts that hunted him. He had wake up fast and abruptly with the threads of a
nightmare still hanging at the back of his mind. Could tell quite easily what
the dream had been about: "Fuuma." Immediately, he corrected himself, no, not
any longer his dear childhood friend but his shadow. The condemned soul that
had taken the place he had left vacant in this destiny game stuff.
The same old feelings of pain and regret tear again a little further more
apart his already shattered self. What was he supposed to do anyway? Now days
everything seemed so confused. They were trying to save this Earth but... why
it didn't look at all to the world he used to live in? Where had gone all those
he had care about? What about their mutual promises of love and trust?
A distinct tingle at the corner of his eyes threaten then to make him cry and
he tried fiercely to repress the need of doing so. Crying solves anything, he
scolded himself. Yet the feeling continued and was ready to break through him
when a sudden knock at his door, startled him. Half suppressing a sob he
managed to answer evenly, "Yes?"
Seconds later, a pair of cat ears pop out from the door and a baby pink pajama,
dress-like Yuzuriha, was visible in the bedroom entrance. It appeared he wasn't
the only one suffering of insomnia that night.
"I'm sorry, didn't wanted to disturbed you but I heard noises coming out from
your room and wanted to see if everything was all right."
At least someone couldn't complain of the house being silent.
"Kamui-san?"
"Nani?" he answered distracted.
"Do you feel OK?"
The note of worry in the girl's voice brought him back to reality and he
flashed an unusually tiny smile of reassurance at her as an answer. If the cute
inugami master saw the tears in his eyes she had the grace to make no comment
about it. Instead, she went to seat right next to him, on top of the bed, with
her loyal Inuki curling in the floor at both their feet. And she stayed like
that, saying nothing but being someone in his other way lonely, silent night.
At first, Kamui almost flinch with the gesture. It had been truly unexpected.
Still, he had to admit he had also liked it. It had been gentle and caring
and... Highly needed. How could it be that girls knew this sort of things? Just
like Kotori, she always had known when he was upset. Shyly, he gazed back, awe
and gratitude in his eyes, to the girl beside him. It had suddenly hit him. It
wasn't only a matter of woman intuition it was also a matter of friendship.
A long time passed with the two of them being quiet and understanding. Then, a
huge yawn resounded across the bedroom and their solemn time of
no-words-conversation, ended in a burst of giggles which turned into full
laughing the moment Kamui, losing his balance over the mattress, fell to the
floor over a now carpet-shape Inuki.
Sounds of hurrying footsteps and half-asleep voices crowded instantly the
corridor of the Imonoyama mansion's third floor instants before a small and
'very' worried group of people broke like a tornado inside Kamui's room. Only
to find, much to their disappointment, not a mighty Angel but a pink Yuzuriha,
cat ears and everything, bending over the bed and unable to stop laughing.
Kamui sprawled over the floor and trying to convince an offended wolf spirit
that whatever he had done he hadn't done it on purpose. Several sweat drops
appeared on more than one face.
"What's going on here!?" asked Sorata astonished. He had expected to find
anything but not 'this'.
No response and a renewed outburst of laughter.
"Yo! Kamui!" he tried again.
Same answer. Weren't they hearing?
"It looks to me like a pajama party," commented amused Nokoru from behind him.
The blond chairman had appeared out of nowhere and looked like considering
seriously joining the two younger Seals in their little funny display.
"When in Rome, do as Romans," said merrily Karen, before going to join Yuzuriha
in the bed and start a ticklish attack over the young girl.
"How about having some strawberry ice-cream now that we are all awake,
kaichou?" suggested solicitous Akira some place near the door.
Sighs.
"Could it be vanilla for me?" asked Subaru with a small smile.
Stares. Then:
"Nee-chan wants chocolate!" (Thud)
Later on, when midnight party was over and it only lasted a short while before
dawn, Kamui discovered he couldn't hear the silence any longer. Not now, when
he had acquired a self- proclaimed nice imouto and therefore he was her
onii-chan.
With two more additions being his nii-san and a nee-san, an ojisan, an obasan
and if that weren't enough, the Three Musketeers...
Perhaps this wasn't the world he used to live in but it wasn't that bad.
It was the morning.

Author's note:
So, it wasn't that bad, was it?
I thought on doing it tragic and depressing. Nah! X is already that way and
those poor guys needed a break. Also, it didn't end the way I expected to...
but sometimes you don't choose the end, the end chooses you.
(Philosophical, ne? ^_^)
I hope you enjoyed it or at least you'll forgive my not very good literary
skills. If you find some noticeable grammar or spelling mistakes, let me now.
I'll be grateful if you help me improve my English.
Well, don't continue boring you with my late past midnight ramblings and me go
to sleep.
Tony-chan.
