Candidate #1: Taishakuten
Reviewer1: Does this guy never give up?
Reviewer2: I think Lord Taishakuten's persistence is admirable.
Unlike some people, he knows how to love.
(pointed look at Reviewer 1)
Reviewer1: Excuse me, but I don't consider mass slaughter and
brutality a fine romance.
Reviewer2: That's because someone as cold blooded as you could never
understand the pain of losing your love.
Reviewer1: And I suppose someone as amoral as you are could never
be expected to feel for other's suffering.
(Glares at each other)
Chair of
Committe: This is a business meeting, can we keep it civilized?
So I take it the we have one for and one against? Now,
What do the other two think?
Reviewer3: So long as Lord Taishakuten realize that Ashura-ou is
not lunch, I have no objections.
Reviewer4: While one likes to consider marriage as only affecting
the two people involved, the truth is that it often
has far reaching consequences. Case in point. It is
true that Lord Taishakuten and Ashura-ou may be well
match in their strength and feelings, but consider their
union. Both men are ambitious, and combined i fear for
the security of this world and all our lifes.
Chair of
Committee: Well put. I believe I need to think about this.

Candidate #2: Sashi
Reviewer1: Amazing how some people never learn.
Reviewer2: While they make a handsome enough couple, Madam Sashi seems
to be rather underbreed and lacking in delicacy of mind.
Reviewer3: You mean she's a bitc*?
Chair of
Committee: Please, restrain yourself. But I agree, considering the
previous experience, marriage to Sashi probably does not
have a high chance of success.
Reviewer4: It does seem to me that a marriage between those two
will not be conductive to the health of either.
Reviewer3: (sotto voce) Yeah, she'll probably poison him this time.
Reviewer1: Or the other way around.
Chair of
Committee: (coughs pointedly) I take it that's a no all the way
around? Shall we go on?
***************************************************************
Candidate #3: Kara
Reviewer1: Pretty girl, if a bit bland.
Reviewer4: I think that after his prior marriage, Lord Ashura would
probably be grateful for someone "a bit bland", as you put
it. In fact, Lady Kara possesses all the qualities so
lacking in her sister. She is loyal, faithful, and
obedient....
Reviewer3: She sounds like a dog.
Reviewer1: Lord Ashura will probably tire of her in a week.
Reviewer2: And she's not in love with him, and he's not in love with
her.
Reviewer4: Lady Kara is the material of which good wifes are made.
Love has nothing to do with it. Lord Ashura is a man of
some importance. Love will not be his only consideration.
Reviewer1: Why don't you marry her yourself?
Reviewer3: He has a harem already.
Chair: This is irrelevent. I'll not have personal discussions
in my meeting. So it's one for and four against.
*****************************************************************************
Candidate #4: Kuyo
Reviewer4: Another lady noted for her unwavering loyalty and devotion
to her lord. And this time, you can not say that she does
not love Ashura-ou.
Chair: Pardon me, but am I not right that you have already cast
your vote for Laday Kara?
Reviewer3: He's used to a harem, remember? Ok, ok, I'll shut up.
Chair: Now, let's get back to the topic, what do the rest think?
And no more personal comments, or you'll be forcably
removed.
Reviewer2: While Lady Kuyo's devotion is commendable, I'm not sure
that she'll make a good wife for Ashura-ou. After all,
it seems to me that she lacks that certain spark, the
flame of passion...
Reviewer1: Spare me your sentimentality.
Reviewer4: Indeed, I believe Lady Kuyo will prove to be an invaluable
partner. She ability to predict the future should be her
strongest recommendation. With her at his side, Ashura-ou
need to have no concern for his future.
Reviewer3: Unless she produce another prophecy like the last one.
Chair: So have we a decision by now? We have ruled out Sashi.
Kara and Kuyo each has one, while Lord Taishakuten has
two votes. But that maybe changed with my decision.
(secretary enters, and whispers something in his ear, all color drains out
of his face.)
Chair: Excuse me, but it appears that Lord Taishakuten has taken
a personal interest in our meeting. He...
(Door burst open, Taishakuten, resplendent in armor and sword in hand,
appears at the door)
Taishakuten: Well, am I interrupting something? Please ignore me, and
continue with your deliberations. (he smiles sweetly, or
as sweetly as he could)
Chair: Ah.. (wipes off the sweat streaming off his face) as...as
I was saying, I believe that Lord Taishakuten, by virtue
of his ability, is the best candidate.
